Wonderful decor. Easy to get to. Green Park and 3 min walk. Had a reservation. There were people being turned away at the door so I wouldn't bother without reserving. Pleasant staff at door. I was a few minutes early but they gently ushered me to the table. Provided some artisan bread. Menu was good. No hard sell for the "specials". Food and wine were delicious. No attempt to hurry us out. Bill had service charge but was fine. £££ but worth it. Well recommended. And will be visiting again.

A Proper Afternoon Tea The Wolseley has long been one of our favorite spots to have Afternoon Tea when we’re in London. The atmosphere, level of service, and array of sandwiches, scones, desserts, tea, and champagne are exceptional. I continue to highly recommend the Wolseley, but if the weather is a bit warm, the temperature and humidity can turn a grand experience into a sweltering slog, to the point that my husband began to grow flush and had to leave the restaurant just to get some fresh air. We still love Afternoon Tea at The Wolseley, but will return only during cool months. We wish that management turned on air-conditioning, assuming that they had it … or invest in installing some sort of air circulation and cooling system. I really hate to harp on the temperature when the food, service, and atmosphere are so delightful, but we really could not enjoy the experience when feeling faint.

Unforgivable. My partner and I frequently have lunches and breakfast here, but I sent him on his own to get me a few things as I'm pregnant and craving their fruit salad and poached eggs. I cannot speak highly enough of the food, but the service is terrible. He went in while FaceTiming me so I was able to hear what was said. They refused to serve him and served another table first, although there was an hours wait. This table didn't have a reservation to the best of my knowledge because when asked, the staff couldn't provide ANY answer. I am scathing. Unacceptable on every level. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm awaiting some sort of response.

The food is very good, but it's really all about the experience. Lovely old-school, French-style restaurant with fancy service and a beautiful interior. Worthwhile experience if you don't mind shelling out a few extra pounds for it.

The Wolseley has an amazing ambience. We arrived for afternoon tea. The service was slightly delayed to arrive at our table but otherwise we had a pleasant experience. Definitely make reservations ahead of time as this place books up quickly. Tip: If you're hungry and get through your first round of scones, sandwiches and other treats, order more! It's included as part of your tea offering but rarely promoted by the staff. (Think Homer Simpson getting kicked out of the buffet restaurant for overeating). 😋🐷

Great atmosphere. But we ordered a half bottle of champagne for brunch which never arrived. Then the waiter came back to ask us to remind him what we'd ordered. Then I was initially brought the wrong plate of breakfast. When the right food and drinks did arrive they were good. Probably expect a smoother experience from a venue of this standing...

Had a wonderful time here; they allowed us to come in for a drink about 30 mins before close even though they do not usually do this and were very friendly to us indeed. I have also eaten here before and had great food and no issue with the service. Particularly good if you want to dress up for dinner and not feel out of place.

The afternoon tea here was very nice. The sandwiches were decent and the scones were heavenly. The atmosphere felt very luxurious, and the wait staff was highly attentive.
