Multiple fissures here. Two big ones are free speech versus perceptions of insensitivity and (not unrelatedly) the insistence on equating emotional/psychological pain (Miller-Young claimed to have been "triggered" by the protest sign) with physical pain. First debate's been with us since the dawn of the PC age, and in fact was the cause of the PC movement in the first place. Second one, though, that's going to be with us for a while.
