I used the phone payment system to pay on my mortgage. It went through and I had a confirmation number. A week later I checked my bank and it wasn't debited. I called and they said they had no record of my payment and my confirmation number was only for my reference. Meaning that they cannot use it to verify my previous payment attempt. They wouldn't waive the fee for the now late payment. I wouldn't use this lending service again if I could do it again.

Mortgage servicing seems to work fine, so I give it 4 stars. The NPF mortgage process can be very tedious, as their back office can't seem to move quickly and often wants "another rock." However they did rectify all issues in the end, and we got a 3.25% mortgage, so happy ending.

The customer service has vastly improved compare to last encounter on May 2016. I believed after we spoke with the supervisor Ms Miranda Hendrix the customer serviced appears to be more knowledgeable in dealing with problems and transaction is always done in expeditious manner . Customer service is always courteous in the response but if a problem is not resolved it will discredit every goodwill .Ms Hendrix was able to educate customer better in how to avoid delay in processing as well. No customer has done it. For example she said that i can create an account so I could look out and follow up myself if i want to . Thanks Ms Hendrix. I really hate to bother but it seems that you are the only one who knows the in and out of the process. I do say there is some improvement after I made many calls to you regarding extra payment that was not properly process , it took a month and 3 customer relation i spoke to promise to correct it but unable . you are the only one who was able to correct it and communicate properly the correction that was done. It is a hard earn money and the least I want is it is credited properly. You follow through and you call back and that is really a very rare nowadays.

On Dec 2, 2016 I received a letter from Shellpoint which bought my mortgage for servicing from SLS who previously bought my loan from the originator, Wells Fargo. The letter indicated that as a result of previously being involved in a bankruptcy I would not receive billing statements associated with my mortgage. When I called Shellpoint customer service the representative asserted that the letter was addressing SLS, my previous mortgage servicer who had gone into bankruptcy. Ultimately, after challenging that false representation I was informed that the receipt letter was a mistake by Shellpoint. When I asked to speak to supervisor Twayneke Johnson, after being placed on hold for approximately 15 minutes, I was informed that she was in the process of exiting the facility and could not speak to me. There was no attempt to refer me to an alternate supervisor. Subsequent to that I made a second call to Shellpoint and confirmed that Ms. Johnson was still present an hour later. I discontinued that call and initiated a third call and started from the beginning. I finally achieved connection to a supervisor by the name of Avery Thomas who informed me that he would request that a letter of retraction be sent to me from the Loan Servicing department. I requested the name of an individual I could speak to on the next business day in that department. He said he could not provide me with a name. I asked him to take my phone number and have someone call me from that department regarding this matter. He said he would communicate the request but he was not confident that I would receive a return call. I then asked For a contact number for the Shellpoint corporate Compliance department and/or name of a responsible party there. He informed me of his lack of knowledge regarding contacting either internally or externally the corporate Compliance department of Shellpoint. A reading of the Google reviews indicates a prevailing practice of this type of conduct that needs to be investigated in my case by the NYS Attorney General's office.

My loan was sold to this servicing company a number of years ago. Since they took over, it's been a maddening experience. At least three times, the company has applied my over-payment [for principal pay down] to the next month's payment thereby causing me to lose about $400. Now I sent in a $5000 principal only payment both detailed on the payment stub and written in RED on the check itself. AGAIN, they took a monthly payment of of this "principal only" check and applied it to January. This IS FRAUD. I'm off to pursue legal remedies.

Never had any issues when speaking with the staff. Always have been very helpful going above and beyond to make sure we are happy as clients. Very satisfied.

I'm not sure why people are having so many problems? I am a UK citizen and my recent investment property was sold on and Shellpoint are servicing it. During the transition, i sent an interim payment via cheque with the wrong loan number attached which i posted from the UK. After two weeks they still hadn't received it, however they got me logged on to the online service where i setup an electronic payment which was credited next day. I also setup a recurring payment which debits my US account every month so i don't even need to think. A few days later, the cheque cleared and ALSO attached to my account without fuss. This then pushed my next mortgage payment back a month. So now i don't have to pay it until August! All in all, they were efficient on the phone, they answered promptly and dealt with my query in an efficient manor. I am 100% satisfied with them..
