The broadcasting dates for Michael’s next documentary series ‘Sicily: Wonder of the Mediterranean’ have been announced as follows:

Airing on BBC Two at 9pm
Episode One:
Beginnings to the Arab Conquest – 31st January 2017
Episode Two:
The Arabs to Sicily in the 21st Century – 7th February 2017

This two-part series will examine the history of Sicily as a cultural melting pot from the Neolithic period to the modern day and ask what it means to be Sicilian.

Please note that due to changes in scheduling, the final installment of Invisible Cities - in Florence - will be airing on the 25th of January instead of the previously listed 1st of February.

Welcome to my page!

This is the official page of Dr Michael Scott. Michael is an Associate Professor in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Warwick, President of the Lytham St Annes Classical Association, author of several books on ancient Greek and Roman society, and has written and presented a range of documentaries for National Geographic, History Channel and the BBC.
