I always appreciate a restaurant that doesn't try to over do their pasta. Their house made pasta was perfect, and the sauce wasn't too thin that it made the pasta soggy. The service was excellent. We also got a salad and pizza. The pizza feeds one, its a nice thin crusted Neapolitan style.

I recently meet two old friends do dinner in Half Moon Bay and choose Pasta Moon partially because our was open on a December Monday night. I was intrigued by the ahi linguini until I realized that the fish was breaded. Who prepares a breaded tuna for a pasta dish? At any rate, I opted to graze on a caesar salad and calamari while my companions opted to taste some of the other appetizers and small plate dishes. The calamari was prepared perfectly, but everything else was a disappointment. This is a wonderful venue that it's resting on a previously well deserved reputation. Perhaps this was an off-night, but I won't be rushing back right away.

Wonderful food, personable service, friendly atmosphere, nice selections on the focused wine list. Somebody is obviously paying attention to the details. A really enjoyable evening. I've been calling friends to tell them about Pasta Moon. We'll be back.
