Hello Android community! I'm currently using a Moto X 2015, but am considering switching to an iPhone SE. They brought back one of my favorite phone designs of all time. It's small and packs a punch with the specs. A comfortable size is definitely something I've been wanting, because while viewing media is gorgeous on this 5.7" display, doing small tasks can become cumbersome.

So, I'm looking for anyone who either came from iOS and prefers Android, or is using both, to give me some insight on their experience with iOS in comparison to Android. What are the features you feel Apple does better than Google (and vice versa)? What are the things that you dislike about iOS vs Android?

I can see myself switching over and enjoying iOS. I love the design language since the iOS 7 overhaul, and most of the Google features that are more integrated with Android I can still get on iOS by downloading some apps. I think I'll miss Google Voice Assistant, but I rarely use it anyway. And with always listening Siri incoming on iOS I might be able to get a similar experience to what I have now with my X's always listening commands.

Anyway, sorry this post got long, thanks in advance for any advice and opinions!

P.S. I know there are smaller Android phones that have decent-to-good performance, but consistent updates, flagship performance, good camera, are the typical sacrifices for a phone the size of the SE. Also, another note, I have a Pebble Time (which I know is a little limited and behind on iOS compared to Android).

I am a user of both. I like Android phones better and Apple computers and tablets better. As far as doing simple tasks well and being easy to use the iPhone is a great choice. Especially now that the SE is $399. You will probably miss the customization and power of android, but if size is what you care about then it is a good choice. Another phone to consider is the Sony Z5 Compact. Sony has been good with updates lately and it certainly fits all the other criteria.

New homescreen setup. Got my main apps hidden in a folder that doubles as the app drawer when swiped.

Hello! I just purchased an iPhone SE. This is my first iPhone coming from using Android for about 4 years (I enjoyed my time with Android but the size, specs, and price of the SE can't be beat, and I've been wanting a smaller device). Can this community offer any tips for new iPhone users? Is iCloud worth using over Google cloud services? Any apps I should try out to replace particular stock apps? Most useful apps? Any other tips or personal preferences!

Thanks in advance.

+Daniel Norman I had an X¹ and I loved the size as well. But I think the 6 series is awkwardly tall for screen size as well. Probably because it's so thin!

iOS Help & Advice  -

Hello iOS community! I'm currently an Android user and I'm pretty happy with it, other than the size. Although I feel like I have to sacrifice a comfortable size for performance (running on a Moto X 2015 w/ 5.7" screen; most flagships are 5.3" or bigger). Granted the screen is crisp and large, which accommodates viewing media very well. It's a great phone but the iPhone SE is a very enticing model due to its size, specs, and price. Not to mention the 5S (and SE) is one of my favorite phone designs of any brand.

Are there any users that switched from Android (on a flagship device) and ended up sticking with iOS? What are some of the features that you feel Apple handles better than Android/the things Apple doesn't handle as well? Exclusive features that are worth it?

Thanks in advance!

+Anto William True, performance is a lot better on iOS,sometimes my Android device would lock up randomly and I'd need to restart it,even though no apps were open,in fact someone dropped it and my screen was shattered, and the day after that,I got a brand new iPad mini

I keep coming back to OS X wallpapers. They look so good on my Moto XPE's 1440p panel. These have been my last two setups.

+David Cabernet is a little more purple than I had originally been led to believe. It's hard to tell the exact colors from pictures or videos taken in showroom lighting or from Moto Maker. My advice to anyone using Moto Maker, choose a color that you'd like even if it was a few shades darker or few hues lighter.

Just a pretty minimal layout. I saw someone post about using OS X or iOS wallpapers on their phone, and I thought it was a great idea because I like a lot of Apple's newer wallpapers. This one is from OS X Yosemite!
