It's the sweetest post, Carol, filled with good heroes of the week, but also good things that you did, too! I'll look for your post in the morning, planning to share a poem (not mine) for Memorial Day tomorrow. My father was killed in WWII, a pilot, lost at sea. It is a special day for me to remember. Thanks for all!

Linda, thank you for reading this post and commenting. I am so sorry that your father past away during World War 11. I understand why Memorial Day is a special day for you to honor his memory and all the other soldiers that passed away. My two uncles were in the war at very young ages and my father-in-law was too but all three were unharmed. Please tag me in on your post so that I can read your poem.

I added, too, Laura-can't resist. And I know there will be re-reads, too.

Each summer, I build a stack that I can't ever possibly get through. This year is no exception! This is my current thinking of books I'd like to read this summer; it does not even take rereads into account (that's a stack in and of itself!)

Confession: I added books from other people's lists before I even posted mine. :)

I've already added the "Blue Crayon" from Michelle's stack. Thanks for doing, looking forward to this in July. Here's a collage, imagine I'll find more to add here!

Lovely post, song and poem, Carol. I love these words especially: "As each step leads you on,
read the road.
Still the chatter."
When one door closes another opens is a common phrase that signifies endings and new beginnings on our journey of life.  As I researched songs that discuss this theme, I found one, Brand New Sun, that is termed "an ode to emb...

Oh my, the day that fills with surprises is both good and stressful, Carol. Congrats on the acceptance, good news indeed, but I imagine you started thinking immediately about how it would go. I'm happy that the tech challenges "eventually" went beautifully! Hurrah for a good end of the day!
Everyday life can be a series of routines or a burst of unexpected happenings. It's the unexpected that throws the day off even if the news is a good surprise. Today was one of those days. While preparing for a present...

Linda, yes the day ended and I am off to a new beginning. In fact, the title for my next post is "A New Journey Awaits".
Fitting, right? Have a great day of new beginnings at the end of your very productive year!
