This thing works really well and I'm grateful for the information I've gleaned from this community. I'm controlling it from a custom web page optimized for small devices and the family loves it for controlling our household water pump.

I do have one problem: After a power outage and when the power comes back on the Kankun switch is always ON. Is there any way to make sure it is OFF after a power outage?

I thought of adding an entry to crontab like this:

@reboot echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/tp-link:blue:relay/brightness

Anyone tried anything similar?

If there is a power outage and we're away from home the pump will drain our water tank. Not good.

TIA.

Something like this would do the trick:
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/tp-link:blue:relay/brightness

I took a nice long bike ride to Khao Nang Panthurat Forest Park. The park encompasses most of the mountains in the distance. Nang Panthurat's Window. Shrine to Nang Panthurat. One of the creatures I saw on the nature walk. Very steep trail in places. Many beautiful views. There are many Gibbons.

Such a nice little spot. Large selection of wine. A handful of imported beers. Extensive selection of food including Thai and international dishes. I had a delicious pork chop stuffed with spinach.

This is a great place for Isaan food. We visit about once a week. The Som Tam Thai is excellent and made to order (you can specify how hot it should be). The menu is extensive, posted on the wall with photos and Thai language only. We've liked everything we've tried.

Wat Prang Thong contains a 10th century Khmer prang (tower) which has a lintel in the Banteay Srei style. The lintel depicts Indra on his three headed elephant Airavata (known as Erawan in Thai). The prang was poorly restored during the Rattanakosin period and probably bears little resemblance to it's original form except for the east door and lintel.

I visit Café Ama two or three times a week to sit in the garden, drink good Lao coffee and read the newspaper. The garden is always cool and pleasant. The coffee is very good. The service is prompt and friendly.

This family-run Thai restaurant is probably one of the best in the area. We visit weekly and always enjoy the high quality of the food and ingredients. Although the chef can whip up almost any Thai dish, there is an extensive menu plus specials based on the freshest ingredients which are always on display in a chiller at the front of the restaurant.
