Possum Kill NC... what's the zip code there?  Doesn't appear to be on any official map of NC...?

Good to see there are Lutherans who refuse to accept the subtle yet destructive "serpent language" found in those documents which claim we can have unity with Rome. Unless Rome repents of her heresy on justification (which, if she did, her kingdom would crumble) there can be no unity with her.

Lutheran Confessions explain this truth as follows: “The service and worship of the Gospel is to receive good things from God”

That is the wrong perspective - puts God in the position of being a vending machine, wanting the gifts more than the giver. The right purpose of worship is to honor God and glorify His name and equip the saints for the ministry of proclaiming the gospel and being faithful to His Word.

I'm confused.  So were we supposed to learn how to be saved in this video?  All we learned was that this guy despises everyone who doesn't know as much as he does, and that there's no set prayer that people say when they get saved.

He's a nasty one.  Critiquing something valid and providing no real answer.

Wait a minute.  What about the Finns, the Norwegians, the Swedes, the Brits, the Irish, the Scottish....   ;-)  THEY ALL do it.

How Ravi Zacharias is being spiritually negligent
I have found myself grieved today. It all started 10 years ago, even though I only found out about it a few years ago. Then it happened again this past weekend. I found myself drawn to this presentation because I care about M...

Like many (most?) evangelicals who become famous, Zacharias has been swept away by the applause of men. This has been going on with him for quite some time. It's sad, but it's not uncommon.

My conscience is captive to the Word of God - Martin Luther
Introduction

I am nobody important. Don't look at me, look at Jesus

I'm kind of  a smart aleck. I like to goof around and poke fun.  So sue me.

If only folks knew how much I think about saying and then DON'T say they would dislike me even more!

If you're a Rushdoonyite / Reconstructionist / Dominionist, do me a favor and don't send me a friend invite.

We plan to contact the attorney general to get our money back. This company is deceptive in its business practices and participates in bait and switch tactics to get you to buy their products. We ordered a vanity set for $190 or so and FREE SHIPPING -- but as soon as we got an email confirmation of the order it was noted in the order CONFIRMATION that the shipping company might charge us a service charge. When we looked at the fee total, it was going to be about $175 for shipping, which in effect doubles the price of the item. In addition the claims process if your furniture is damaged in transit looks to be a royal headache filled with loopholes that YOU have to pay for. This is NOT FREE SHIPPING. We found it in two other places online for $235 or so with no additional shipping fees, confirmed by the companies offering it. We looked into cancellation at Unitech / The Furniture Authority, and found that they demand a 30 percent restocking fee/cancellation fee! We sat online on their online help chat for 45 minutes and on hold for an hour or so trying to get through to cancel the order anyway but no one did ever get on the chat with us or pick up the phone. We also immediately sent an email to cancel the order. Even though they had not even (ten days later) shipped our item, they're just getting back to us now and reminding us that we have this 30 percent cancellation/restocking fee that we supposedly agreed to. You can't make people check a box that says essentially "you might have to pay a bunch more than our stated price if you agree to buy this product from us." And then penalize them for not wanting to pay double the price you advertised. Incidentally they DO have a price match guarantee, which means we might be able to TRY matching the price to the other merchants we found which includes the TRUE free shipping, BUT... for most price matching guarantees, you have to have the exact same model, and the other two merchants call the color either cherry or walnut, while the Furniture Authority calls it "Oak" and I have found NO other merchants selling the wood grain pattern under OAK. So clever. NOT.

A waste of time. I wish I had done some research before ordering, but thankfully didn't order hundreds of dollars of merchandise like other people have. I wish the attorney General would take these people to task. I ordered two shrubs and they arrived in a green plastic envelope in the middle of summer, supposely "bareroot plants." No protection was given to these plants, there was no moisture retentive material around the roots, and though I ordered when it was cool outside, they did not arrive until it was 90 degrees out. Who knows how long they were in transit? They were broken and jammed in the mailbox because they were in an envelope. Most places ship shrubs in a BOX with some protection. They gave me the runaround about dormant plants, and offered to ship me replacements. I said only if they ship me live plants and ship them with better protection. They came about four or five weeks later, with the same green transparent envelope and no moisture retentive material to protect the roots from drying out in transit. They offered a refund if I send back the ORIGINAL plants and the ORIGINAL shipping label... which of course NOW has been discarded. The refund does not apparently apply to REPLACEMENT plants. Scam!! They keep telling me to do the scratch test, etc, and that it typically takes six weeks for the plants to come out of dormancy. By then it'll be September and then they have all of two months MAX before they have to go back INTO dormancy. That's not enough, folks. I guess I'll have to swallow the loss of money and just make sure I do what I can to warn anyone else from donating to Kelly Nurseries' lost cause. Because that's all you'll be doing, giving them handouts for virtually worthless merchandise. PLEASE look them up on Rip Off Report as they do business through other companies as well: Kelly Nursery Direct Gardening Direct Gardening The House of Wesley, Burgess Seed, Dutch Gardens, Inter-State Nurseries, Farmer Seed and Nursery, Four Seasons Nursery, Richard Owen Nursery / Exciting Gardens, Honeycreek Nursery, Plantron, etc.
