This twist on a saison recipe includes a few pounds of cranberries in the mash, making for a flavor very much like a semi-dry white wine with lots of vinous overtones. Extract & All-Grain recipes: http://bit.ly/2dWAYjI
This Cranberry Saison Automne was inspired by Unibroue's Quelque Chose, which is made by blending beer-soaked wild cherries into the final product. The impetus for the cranberries in this recipe was to maximize the fermentation of the sugars by adding them to the mash rather than adding them for flavor at the end. Frozen cranberries were chosen because the cell walls would be ready to burst so as to get as much flavor as possible, while a relativ...

For more than 20 years, SpaceCoast Associates for the Advancement of Zymurgy (SAAZ) has been Brevard County's (FL) AHA homebrew club dedicated to the search for better beer. The club hosts a competition every year so cleverly named Commander SAAZ Interplanetary Homebrew Blastoff, which couldn't be more appropriate for an out-of-this-world imperial stout. This "black as a moonless night" beer rolls in at about 12% ABV which makes perfect sense a...

The Recipe of the Week is a Cream Ale that took gold in the 2002 National Homebrew Competition. Let's brew! http://bit.ly/2cEVs0q #homebrew #homebrewing #beer #craftbeer #recipe
American cream ale is a great beer style for those just getting their feet wet in tasting craft beer. With faint malt notes and little to no hop aroma, it is similar to the ubiquitous American light lager. Like most ales, we'll ferment this between 65° F and 70° F for a crisp, light-bodied beer. Though cream ale is considered an ale by style guidelines, it is not uncommon to use lager yeast in brewing this style. This particular recipe is known...
