I recently was given an old iPad 1 by an accquaintance of mine. After resetting the iPad, I went to install old applications that I currently use on my iPhone. Now, the old iPad only runs iOS 5.1.1, so the current version of the Google+ iOS app cannot be downloaded. So the app store allows you to download the latest compatible version. I am not sure which version of the app this is, due to them not providing that information, but it appears to be fairly recent, due to it using the current "welcome screen" as the current app version for, say, iOS 7.
Upon downloading the app, I went to login, and there's where my issue arose.
When I tapped on "Get Started" a small window prompting me to log into my google account showed up (image provided below). However when I logged on, it redirected me, still in the window, a list of featured apps, all of which were links sending me to downloads for Android Apps.
Ergo, I cannot login to the application.
I wanted to know how I'm supposed to log into this app, if it keeps sending me to this "featured apps" page.
Thank you for your support.

really interesting..
Fantastic TEDx talk from my friend Greg.

*EDIT TO ADD * It goes well with this from Seth Godin http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2013/05/its-thomas-midgeley-day.html

Well I guess my problem with the new layout is partially a luxury problem, I have a 17" 1920x1200 and with that dpi and resolution the scaling of the page is really bad column- and positional -wise.
Come to think of it, on a non wide-screen display the same applies.

Converting the page to single column is even worse.

This really doesn't work for me what a waste of space, and what a jungle of information.
