Apart from the hateful baristas and the fact they shall not allow so many people all at once on such a narrow rooftop (safety standards?!), the view from this eastern rooftop bar is fairly beautiful, although certainly not the most spectacular in NYC. Bar is hmm, fair, nothing special, and no food but overpriced tacos. The architecture of the rooftop is quite particular though, and makes it a nice after-work spot for non-lovers of fancy, snobbish rooftops.

affordable? check. great location? check. cozy and chic rooms? absolutely. I also REALLY appreciated how they kept my luggage in storage when I checked out and explored the city!

This hotel changed the way I felt about traveling and staying at hotels. The minimalist approach really does give you everything you need without the fluff. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the outlets for device charging were convenient and the exposed rack to hang clothes instead of a dresser or closet was a much more efficient use of space. The provided toiletries were high quality and the room was spotless. They've also re-imagined the 'business space' of hotels by placing multiple wi-fi enabled iPads across the lobby that are all connected to the commercial printers. I will 100% stay here for my next NYC trip!

We visited New York last week for a three day weekend (May 23rd thru 25th) and we were really satisfied with our Stay at POD39. We reached in the morning, though the check-in time was 03:00 pm they allowed us to leave our luggage in the hotel. Also common Restrooms available at the hotel for guests were Clean and spacious enough for us to get refreshed. The staffs were friendly. As far as rooms are concerned, they are small but on par with NY standards. Rooms were clean and Comfortable. HOT water was also available. Most important thing is the location, its 5 to 10 minutes walk from most of the attractions at Manhattan. I would strongly recommend this to anyone visiting New York.

It was an interesting experience for me because I''ve never stayed in a hotel room tinier than this one. Plus it's modern and it was my first and only night in NY. My friend and I got a reasonable deal because it was still under construction early August. Looking through the roof top pics on yelp bums me out cuz it wasn't available when we were there (probably that's why it was cheaper). Room: open the door and the bed is in front of u facing toward the bathroom and the shower. The glass wall dividing the bedroom and the restroom is frosted. This was very awkward cuz I shared the room with a guy friend. It was awkward cuz I could see a blurry figure of him sitting on the toilet (ewww). I was too paranoid to bend down to pick stuff off the floor in the shower because the wall was frosted in the middle and not the bottom. Walking distance to time square. Staying there more than one night would have drove me nuts. Warning: the sliding bathroom door handle is a hole, not a doorknob. That means one of u should get out of the room while the other goes #2

Really neat rooftop bar. Not a party spot, but a great place to relax with friends. The bar also serves some Mexican dishes for snacks. The view is amazing, as you can see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. The top is made with a bunch of brick arches - has a kinda European vibe. Cool place.

We stayed here, it's clean, a little small but has everything you need. We didn't spend much time In the room, out all day. Very happy. 😊 really enjoyed our stay in New York.

Good location for tourism. Nice rooms with modern arrangements, though small. The Wi-Fi was serviceable, but quite slow. The staff was friendly and in general my experience was good, but you can't avoid feeling you overpaid, even though it's New York. There's a convenient restaurant with interesting food on the ground floor, but it's a bit pricey.
