Maybe Podcasting is the Most Awesome Form of Content That Exists in the History of the World.

In this short but value packed video from +Tom Webster of Edison Research, we learn where podcasts fit into the "Share of Ear" in terms of total audio consumption.

Though podcast listenership is a relatively small share of ear in total, the amount of time podcast listeners give to podcasts is incredible.

I know this to be true of my own podcast consumption.

You could equate podcast listening to eating your first +Chipotle Mexican Grill burrito. You fight it and fight it and fight it. You just can't imagine fitting all that food inside you, but after that first bite of awesomeness hits your tongue, your life is changed forever.

Where do podcasts fit into your life?

I do not quibble with anyone's personal reasons for removing commenting from their blog (really, +Chris Brogan ) Those that have made that choice did so for some excellent reasons. But the comments sure made THIS post worth writing. Holy cats, there are whole blog posts in the comments from +Matt Ridings +Robert Rose and more.

Had a wonderful podcast with +Mark Schaefer this week on some new, real data on Facebook's organic reach issue. The show was a hoot to do, and it also prompted me to have a think about whether chasing organic reach was even the right thing to do, from an economic standpoint. So, I expanded on that thought here.

I've never liked the term "second screen," especially when it's used to refer to Twitter usage during TV programming. If you are engaged on Twitter, it's the first screen.
