The importance of purpose.

You can buy a girl a gym membership but you can’t make her exercise 🙂

Not having a good, solid, meaningful purpose will make going to the gym a chore, one that you will never want to do, which you will resent – sure accountability and support all help, so does cracking a whip, but you want to go because you feel the pull of your purpose not the push of necessity. Find your mindset of evolution, don’t stagnate and become extinct – there is always a way, believe it, believe in yourself, believe in your abilities.

The words we choose have power over us, over the people who hear or read them, over our thoughts, our actions, our future. Choose wisely.
A friend asked in a group “how much money do you think you deserve to earn?” It’s a good question, however by using the word “deserve” it becomes a very emotive question, loaded with implications of self-whatevers. (read the rest in the link)

I found myself doing that twice recently, had awesome ideas - one of them at least will be (note I said will because, you know, positive thoughts) life changing for people - and then allowing thoughts into my head.

"someone will have already done that."
"there's no way I could build that"
"it's too difficult for me"
"who'd want that anyway"
"who am I to think ..."

And then I stopped, and realised what I was doing, and told those thoughts "thank you for your concern but I got this".

So if you find yourself having those thoughts when you're building your dream universe, give yourself a Gibbs slap then go rebuild them even grander than before

What is your Capacity for Delight?

I am working through The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and came across the phrase “capacity for delight” which made me stop and write the phrase again in the margin, and then take up my notebook and write it at the top of a fresh page.

Pondering … (read more in the link)

I recently did the 'ask' thing and received some wonderful testimonials which I have added to my website.

When was the last time you asked for a testimonial, do you have a system in place?

I’m on a mission. A mission to get healthier and fitter and stronger. I’m at a ‘certain age’ where taking care of my health and body, strengthening my muscles and bones, becomes quite important – not that it isn’t important at any age but it’s getting imperative to do so if I want a healthy and active old age.
