11,047,175 is a current estimated population of Bolivia (source: worldometers.info). 🙂
Today, we want to share with you two photos of Bolivian sunrise. They were both taken in Termas de Polques where you can relax in hot springs and admire the surrounding mystic landscapes.
What is the most inspiring sunrise that you had a chance to see? 🤔

Let’s start our Bolivian week!

What city in Bolivia is called “Our Lady of Peace”? The answer is Nuestra Señora de La Paz, shortly known as just La Paz. It is a 3rd most populous city in Bolivia, sometimes called a “red city”.

La Paz was founded in the 16th century and it is an important tourism centre which offers many attractions including Moon Valley, numerous museums and squares. As the government and President headquarters are located there, the travellers sometimes incorrectly consider this city to be a capital (the constitutional capital of Bolivia is Sucre). One of the popular attractions in La Paz is a cable car “Teleferico” – there 3 different lines (red, yellow and green) and their length is approx. 6 miles (10 km).

When visiting La Paz, remember that the city is located 11975 ft. above the sea level (3650 m) so you may feel a difference in breathing. The mean daily temperature varies throughout the year from 9 to 12 °C.

What attractions can you see in La Paz?
– Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna),
– National Museum of Archeology,
– Colonial Architecture,
– Tiwanaku Square,
– National Art Museum,
– San Francisco Church,
– Metropolitan Cathedral,
– Bolivian Presidential Palace,
– Murillo Square.

As you can notice, the list is quite long. When visiting this city, we recommend exploring local restaurants, taking a ride on Teleferico and make a trip to Bolivian Copacabana. :)

We send you warm greetings from Madeira, Portugal. Our photos are from Cabo Girão and Câmara de Lobos. At the first place you can enjoy the astonishing viewpoint and take the opportunity to walk on the glass platform located on the cliff. However, if you have fear of heights this experience may be a bit thrilling as Cabo Girão is situated 580 m (1,900 ft) above the sea level. ;) Regarding Câmara de Lobos, it is a lovely colourful town located about 3 km from Cabo Girão. Definitely, it is also worth the visit.

Also known as the „White City”, Arequipa was established in 16th century. Although this city can be treated as a great stopover on the way to Cusco or Puno, it offers many attractions and beautiful landscapes to see. Example? What about seasonally snow-covered giant El Misti volcano? :)

"My night walk in the Amazon Jungle" is a travelling story of Tauri Travel's co-founder. http://buff.ly/2peITzd

Is it easy to get lost in the jungle? What wild animals can you see there? What kind of shoes do you need when you go for such a trip? If you wanna find out, then we encourage you to read the full article on our website. :)

"No phone range, the sounds of the nature coming from all directions or the absolute darkness in which you are unable to see your own outstretched hand… What else do I remember from my night walk in Amazon Jungle? Well, it is hard to forget different kinds of spiders lurking in their webs or the view of wild caimans in their natural environment. But let’s start the story from the beginning."
