A lot of writers paint. Like writing and my old job in marketing, I feel the same rise and fall in my creative reservoir as I draw from it to paint. Even sport, social interaction, and home construction projects pull from that internal source, but in different ways and rates of consumption.

If I engage fully in one of these inventive activities, I empty the tank and must refill before I can write.

Do you find this in your creative experience? Is it possible to do more than one creative project by compartmentalizing your various creative resources? Or maybe you are energized by painting - invigorating your writing?
