People talk a lot about God-realization and spirituality, but they don't realize how much they have to pay for it by their own effort.

You can become an Olympic champion and win all the gold medals. You can win Nobel Prizes. You can even become a statesman, a president, a multi-millionaire. It's all nothing. Anybody can do that, and people are doing it easily.

Shri Datta Guru

Shri Guru Dattatreya or Shri Datta Guru is Hindu deity (Ishta Devata) encompassing the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, collectively known as Trimurti. The name Dattatreya can be divided into two words - "Datta" (meaning given) and "Atreya" means, in Sanskrit, "son of Athri". Athri is one of the 7 seers / principles of creation. Athri also means in Sanskrit "not three". The one who came down from that which is not three is called Athreya. Dattatreya is also a combination of “Datta” and “treya” - Treya being the trinity – Bramha (creator), Vishnu (preserver) and Shiva (destroyer).

So what is God? Is God some supernatural power? Is God he? Is God she? Or it? Is he up somewhere sitting in the heaven taking care of his devotees? Does God have a form or is he formless?

Many people in this world pray or worship God in one way or other. Some worship God with objective of attaining him (or her or It). Most worship God only when they have material problems in the life and expect him to resolve the issue immediately. If ever God responds to their prayers, they quickly forget it and assign the incident as 'coincidence' and continue with their merry life until the next difficulty arrives. Poor God!....
