Hello, installed ubuntu recently on a t100ha, for some reasons i had difficulties booting an usb dongle with a full image, so i installed the server version, then added a lot of things and finally bit the bullet and just installed ubuntu-desktop, although i use i3, not gnome, just to have everything i could need.

A lot of things are now working well, but i still have issues:
1. when i close the lid and then open it again (so, suspend/resume), the system starts repeatedly going into sleep mode, overy few seconds, which makes the system basically unusable until i reboot.
2. I still don''t have the internal wifi working, so i'm using a little dongle for that, which uses the main usb port, but thats not too much of a concern.
3. I don't have xrandr working, (RandR extension missing), i915 is loaded, and i have fbdev configured as driver through /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf, things like glxgears work, but kivy (sdl2-opengles2) don't. (but i have backlight control, which is nice)
4. The touchpad works, but i can't use two fingers tapping/swapping for right-click/scrolling, and it's a bit hard to right click without moving the cursor.
5. the backlight keys don't send any signal, so i had to bind some other key combination to my script for that, but that's no biggie.
6. the touchscreen doesn't match the display, it's rotated 90°, i saw there were solutions for that, but also it seemed to work out of the box for some people, i didn't try much about it yet.
7. Bluetooth! ubuntu doesn't see the device at all
8. Sound, it worked one time, but pulseaudio refuses to start, it's a bit weird

I think that's all of it, i think i read most of the info refering to this machine on the net, but i must have missed things. I'm not sure it's necessary to build a custom kernel anymore, i spent some (quite some) time trying to build a kernel with the patchset found in the arch linux forum thread, but the result didn't boot, and if it can work even with a few downsides, with a standard kernel, it could be a bargain i'm willing to take.

Issues 1, 3 are the most immediate concerns, but any pointer to any of these problems is welcome :). The machine already starts to be usable, even if not very powerful.

thanks for all the work.
