It's easier to dance while coding when you're standing.

Almost every week there's another new 'secret to good health' – one week it might be green smoothies and the next it's standing desks.

So ABC Health & Wellbeing have taken a look at some recent health trends to see which ones are worth holding onto, and which we should leave behind.

"The film ‘Back to the Future’ provides the OED's earliest recorded example of a colloquial sense of 'hello', used to imply (sometimes disbelievingly or sarcastically) that the person addressed is not paying attention, has not understood something, or has said something nonsensical or foolish."

So true of nothing: "White Knights of tech are getting a bit over their heads [on gender balance]. One thing is to raise awareness of a problem that exists throughout society -- not just tech, a whole different one is to go to the extent of requesting a pull request to remove gendered references"

Do one have a problem with pronouns? Maybe she does. Maybe he does. But they... who are the they that them are asking for us? We? Those are the they that you are unknowingly picking up the shield for for the their delicate sensibilities are on the line and not just straight-forward documentation.

No mention of Tom Cruise, Jodie Foster or even James Garner. It's those kind of omissions that rob you of a smile. And it definitely catches you off guard if you're reading it after reading Game Change.

Some times life in day cannot contain all the excitement that tilting 9° affords us. So there's a NASA study asking for subjects to experience some of that wildness in tilt-sleeping.

"After the first 13 or 21 day period, you will spend 70 days lying in bed, with your body slightly tilted downward (head down, feet up)."

It's a 60° tilt here. That's at least six times the fun in life, in bed.

Two meet on a park bench and discuss the importance of questions versus answers. The talk hinges on how vital a question or answer is while worthless or if the worthlessness proves its worthiness and by virtue validates itself because it brings forth worthy questions and answers to the table.

And you've just read the comic.

That whole "our country" started by an invasion from boat people.

A woman has been charged with racially abusing other passengers while travelling on a train in Sydney.

A commuter captured her racist tirade on camera on the train between Central and Strathfield stations on Wednesday afternoon.

What are you thoughts on smartphones being used to capture public acts of racism?

Letterboxd came out with their 2013 in review. Among the recall they mention that Django Unchained from 2012 was too awesome (and late) to not be included in the 2013 round-up.

Loaded up the first episode and was affronted by the turn of phrase dropped 12 minutes, 10 seconds in.
What is "Begging the Question?" "Begging the question" is a form of logical fallacy in which a statement or claim is assumed to be true without evidence other than the statement or claim itself. When one begs the question, the initial assumption of a statement is treated as already proven ...

Buried in one of those all and sundry questions, an answer shows that slapping on .info at the end of a goo.gl link reveals a nice page of what link is behind it, when it was created and other minor stats.

If you're a fan of reading a 9-point list article spread across 10 pages, then you may also like where they slightly admit that plagiarism is only bad if you get caught.
