#CMCSteamboatSprings students raise funds for @Yampatika with another awesome locally sourced, beautifully crafted Garden to Table dinner. Thanks for the great night of service to our awesome students: http://ow.ly/iMby301u5FU #sustainablefood #sustainablecommunities #mountainfutures
CMC Steamboat Restaurant Management program students’ final practical exam was a fun and engaging community event that raised funds for Yampatika, a Steamboat Springs non-profit that works to inspire environmental stewardship through education. The event offers students the opportunity to design a menu, source it with local food products, create the meal and serve it...

The issue of food waste doesn’t start in our refrigerator. It is complex and occurs along every step of the food chain.

Although the professors are great the dorm situation is not so much. Michelle Cole is the head of dorms. It has been observed by many students that she does not do her job well. She is insensitive, young, and unqualified. She abuses her power and searches people's rules without following protocol. The RA's are also not very friendly people and mostly keep to themselves.

The 2 year Engineering program is outstanding. The opportunities available to students at CMC are endless. Div I ski team is a great opportunity to get plenty of on-snow time to further your ski career without breaking the bank at a 4 year school.

I am on the home stretch of my second and final year at CMC - Steamboat Springs (AAS - Resort Management). It has been over 40 years since I finished high school; I had decided then not to go to college. When I made a decision in 2013 to give it a try at CMC Steamboat, I had no idea what to expect. The counselors and office staff were amazing and gave me all the help and assurance I needed to get started. My first year went so well, my wife, Patsy, joined the CMC experience with me and enrolled as well; we are now "college sweethearts"... (married almost 9 years). The instructors have been supportive, classes challenging, and it has been more than I expected. I definitely made the right decision to come to CMC. We are looking forward to putting our education into action when we graduate later this year.

I've been taking continuing education classes at CMC Steamboat: art and yoga. Both are fantastic. The new building has an amazing view of the ski mountain, the faculty is very high calibre and we are so lucky to have CMC in our community.

A great value, and maybe a good education Pro: Steamboat is rural and beautiful. It is a trad town (unlike most ski areas) The tuition is cheap (in state/in district), and classes are small (<30) The ski area is a few miles from campus via a free city bus, downtown is a 10 minute walk. Con: Liberal narratives are often pushed in favor of academics. Adjunct Professor

CMC Alpine has helped me to realize my dreams. I am a boomer and am creating my second act. The Culinary Program and the Hotel/Resort programs are just what I needed to get my new career off to a great start. All of the staff at CMC is so wonderful and have been more than willing to accommodate my physical disabilities to make sure that I am able to finish the programs and get the most out of the classes. This has been a great place to be in this time in my life and I couldn't be more satisfied with CMC! It is affordable, friendly and in the most beautiful city in the country.

My experience at Colorado Mountain College - Steamboat Springs was wonderful; I had the most helpful instructors and disability people to help in my educational endeavers while there. The instructors all want to help you learn and not just the instructors you have at a semester, if you need help go back to the ones you have had in past semesters they will help also. I wish to thank all the staff at CMC for their time and assistance. I miss you all.
