I highly recommend sitting at the bar. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly and more than happy to show off the different techniques they use to produce the rather unique drinks they produce. The drinks are unique but not in a gimmicky way, the flavors are at once strong and subtle but definitely not like your usual bar fare.

Very inventive drink selections, more alchemy than mixology! Definitely try a steamed pork bun too, excellent.

Read reviews on their long wait, so one Saturday night we went early-ish, around 7:30 PM. Waited only 10 minutes, possibly because it was a hot day and inside the bar was not adequately ACed. But the cold cocktails helped! We were promptly served, and the cocktails were delicious. Definitely on the pricey end, but they have unique concoctions you may not find at other bars. Plus you can get a side of Momofuku's signature pork buns!

David Chang does libations Ambitious, adventurous, experimental, tongue in cheek names. These are words I would use to describe the cocktails created here. I've only been here once, but I wouldn't mind going back when i'm in the area. They have interesting ingredients, and I like the creativity both with how they make/present the cocktails and what they name them (gin & juice!) I visited during one of nyc's recent "polar vortex" nights. Needless to say, I ordered down the list of hot beverages. Wish I could remember the drink names. Pretty good stuff! And I'm sure they can make your standard, run of the mill Manhattan or Martini if you ask.

Nice spot to grab a drink. Quiet enough for a date spot, but a little bit pricey. Great location and a great addition to the monofuku family. Across the street from Milk, so make sure you grab a crack pie!

So despite the address being on 2nd Ave, it's actually on 13th street. Small, dim, and simple. The drinks were alright - my friend enjoyed her bourbon based drink, but mine (called "The Solitaire") tasted rather like mouthwash. I'd visit again, but would order something different.

A centrifuge and blowtorch may seem over the top and excessive , but after having these fantastic concoctions, you wonder how bars have done without them. More than lives up to the hype. It's cocktail heaven with steamed pork buns.
