A little hint of one of my current studio projects. Kind of a commentary on portable electronic devices. I've packed 3 circuits inside. A nixi tube clock, RGB LED controller, and a TV B gone. It will be next month before it's done..... I can't wait to show my work on the inside.

Commissioned Light sculpture for "The Laboratory" restaurant in Fort Collins, Colorado by Aaron Ristau Studio.
This light sculpture was built in 6 weeks for the client. We met the owners in mid Febuary and had the sculpture completed by April 1st! Looks like they will open next week. TheLabFC.com The inside is very cool my friends, you have to see this place!  The space was still unfinished at the time of my photographs and it is exceedingly hard to photograph. I'll add more pictures to this album soon.
And there is video here.... http://youtu.be/MFU8h0CZzLg

Fulgora’s Illumination, is a Do Right Hall joint exhibition with myself and Tony Greer in Marfa, Texas, August 30 through September 2. Tony is a master of Neon and luminous glass sculpture. So, there will be light and kinetic sculpture on the floor, ceiling, and walls.
I’ve worked with Tony, owner of Tornado Gallery and Special Effects Neon, over the past decade making neon and xenon tubes for my own sculpture. Tony’s most recent work has developed out of new glass blowing technology added to his already well-equipped Lubbock, Texas studio. This has given him the capability of exploring organic branching structures — trees, roots, lightning and the like. This is going to be a grand exhibition!
Over the past many months my focus has been lighting commissions for Marfa residences and new works—assemblages of found detritus, reformed scientific apparatus and light—built specifically for Fulgora’s Illumination.
This is all made possible through our hosts at Do Right Hall, Buck Johnson and Camp Bosworth.
Thanks also to Randy for designing the exhibition poster.
For those not able to make the journey to Marfa, look for images of the show late this month!

I hear you. Word Press is seductive. I need to start building out a site next year and looking at options. I use GoogleApps heavily anyway so Sites is an easy option, or just rent server space and do one from scratch.

I need a new kiln! I am trying to raise cash by offering the two glasses on the right side of this image for sale. A 22oz. Pint glass and a 17oz. Pilsner. They are $25 each. They are hand made/ media blasted by me. Very dishwasher safe, durable, quality! Message me if you want one or some :). If you buy one I will keep the shipping cost to $5. If you buy more than one there is a quantity discount and I'll likely roll shipping costs into your order. I am almost done with production of a limited run for this fall! Get in quick! my Facebook friends grabbed several. They are going fast!

Images of Tony’s recent work posted below + a graphic Randy Fisher created to celebrate the blacksmith and iron working building that Tony’s father (A.B Greer) and grandfather built. The building now houses Tornado Gallery, and Tony’s glass studio.
