Anyone with Inky anywhere in the world can send encrypted, authenticated email to anyone else who has Inky anywhere in the world. All you need is an email address. Doesn't matter who your email provider is or what platform you use. Oh, and all you need to do to encrypt is click one button.

Once upon a time, companies ran their own email servers, which was frankly a huge pain, requiring dedicated IT staff who new the “black…

I could put something like this to good use: http://tinyurl.com/jnj4rw7
Sailing a small boat with my hands occupied convinced me that a small hands-free smart device on the wrist might not be such a bad thing. The Apple Watch currently on the market is just a placeholder for what will ultimately be the real product, the future version of the smartwatch that will be the robust tiny computer with seamless input/output (I/O) we’re all looking for.

Marrying AR to AI gives managers a better picture of what's happening with their assets: http://tinyurl.com/gvtk7fd
SparkCognition, a company with automatic model-building technology that sifts sensor and other instrumented data to predict failures and breaches, has added an augmented-reality layer to its user interface. Now, managers can "see" impending issues before they become a problem.

Dell's PC market share rise dates from the go-private transaction: http://tinyurl.com/jl2ama9
Dell's market share in PCs has risen steadily since the company went private 13 quarters ago. There seems to be a correlation between this success and the company's unlisted status.

When is a firearm not like an algorithm? http://tinyurl.com/hnbeajf
I would never argue that everyone should own a gun, but strong encryption for all people is more of a benefit than a liability. Apple and the rest of the tech industry should stand fast on not allowing the government to build a back door into their products.

There's beauty in this animal: http://tinyurl.com/hu6le8l
Although it's big and powerful, the new Dell XPS 15 slides right into a laptop bag because its InfinityEdge display make this 15" notebook no larger than most 14" models. Meanwhile, the 4K resolution is so high that text has to be cranked to 250% in order to be readable.

Gotta keep up with the times: http://tinyurl.com/zqokfsg
IBM has reinvented itself pretty much continuously since its founding more than 100 years ago. Now, the company is moving its focus to providing infrastructure for the coming era of cognitive workloads, the complex, AI-oriented, real-time analysis of vast troves of heterogeneous data coming from systems both inside and outside enterprises.

Everyone wants to be in the red checkered table cloth business: http://tinyurl.com/zzmtpb8
If identity validation involves complex AI computation, then no one except the behemoths will be able to do it anymore, which may be the idea.

Now anyone can program a quantum computer: http://tinyurl.com/hqosh67
Quantum computing requires a whole new type of thinking, but some of the ways IBM and others are bringing this experience to market are reminiscent of much older paradigms.

Another view of the double-edged sword of technology: http://tinyurl.com/hgvysuz

To separate blockchain from BitCoin, use less expensive blocks: http://tinyurl.com/znn6r48
An awareness is dawning in the industry that blockchain—the technology behind (really, interwoven with) BitCoin—is the main story. BitCoin is almost a distraction, a sideshow to the real deal. Most people have heard of BitCoin, the “cryptocurrency.” In simple terms, BitCoin is value that resides in computer networks. It seems to be mysteriously reliable, partly because it is verified by multiple parties. Some people know about “blockchain,” part ...
