As some of you may know. It's been just a little over a year since I've landed on Mars. It's been a very exciting year indeed. I'm ready for more, are you? :-)
Where were you when Curiosity landed? It's a hot topic of discussion in the hallways of JPL and on social media this week, as people remember the dramatic, tension-filled landing of NASA's Curiosity rover and its Mars Science Laboratory spacecraft on Aug. 5, 2012 PDT (Aug. 6, 2012 EDT).

Nine months of me, in just a minute.

Just a minute! That's all it takes to see nine months of +NASA's Mars Science Laboratory mission so far, thanks to fan Karl Sanford's time lapse.

He made the video from raw images the rover sends from Mars that get posted here: http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/multimedia/raw/

+Sabeena LoBello +Curiosity is not off duty. Because of Mars conjunction with Earth there is limited communication with it and the rest of missions there. No commands are sent for not risking being garbled by Sun interference. So it will stay put in the same place (moving around needs a lot of planning and commands every time) but it will conduct experiments. Communication is minimized but not lost. It will keep running experiments and staging data. My two cents.

I'm on my way. It's about 5 miles. Anyone have any good tunes for such a long trip?
NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has begun a long trek toward Mount Sharp, leaving behind an area where it already accomplished its major science objective.

Not just that, it is a 'thing' you see in the world, and in the USA particularly all the time, hung up on details, and never see the big pic - the big pic, wow, on Mars, and learning, how to save our own race, who's own planet is getting too small...

Details, some garbage, that might get picked up later, yes, we do it a lot, we should not

Introduction
I'm looking for signs of life on Mars. Whether it had once supported life, or if it can in the near future.

Beam back my findings to my home planet for further study and a better understanding of our cosmos.
