Designed by Beth Studley. This rather striking block makes a stunning mini quilt to hang up on your wall. It would also work fantastically as an accent cushion on a bed or sofa. You could choose to make more than one block for a larger quilt or a runner.

Designed by Beth Studley. This wonky looking quilt looks to be randomly pieced and scrappy but it is, in fact, pieced from identical blocks that are simple turned round to give contrast between them. The block is foundation pieced so you will need to be comfortable with this technique to comhttps://www.secretgardenquilting.co.uk/acatalog/Quilting-Patterns.htmlplete the quilt.

Part of Beth Studley ‘minis’ range of pocket sized patterns, these pretty and practical mini fabric baskets are perfect for storing all your little bits and bobs. They can be sewn in very little time and you may just find yourself making quite a few! Once you have made enough for yourself you can start making some as gifts! They can be flipped inside out so you always have 2 fabrics to choose from.

JUST IN: Moda Return to Winters Lane. Cardinals sing, and berries burst with colour in Return to Winter’s Lane by Kate & Birdie. Vivid shades of scarlet are set against a snow-white background. Pine branches and their cones, bright red flowers, tiny snowflakes and a crisp plaid complete a look that captures the icy beauty of winter.

JUST IN: Lewis & Irene Sew Mindful. In our increasingly busy lives, full of noise and occupied thoughts, it’s good to give your mind some ‘time out’. To have quiet. Some find this in meditation or mindfulness. To sit and sew, to focus on the needle and thread, the cutting and piecing. Time for reflection and to find a little peace.
