Happy International Children's Day! In the lead up, we asked some kids 2 questions: "What change do you want to see in the world?" and "How do you want to help people?"

Their answers will inspire you.

We firmly believe in the potential of children and the impact they have and will have in our world. Empowering and investing in our next generation is always worthwhile.

Here's 2 ways you can do that. You can sponsor a child's health check, which identifies and treats conditions before they can develop into serious or long-term problems. $10 pays for a health check which includes vitamins and medicines to treat identified health problems.

Or you can contribute to a Life Skills program which equips young ones with the tools to thrive and includes sessions on road safety, anti-trafficking awareness, stranger danger, personal worth, health and hygiene and English classes.

Love what we do. Great idea for Mother's Day
This Mothers’ Day, why not invest in a gift that will transform the lives of a mother and child? For only $50 you can pay for an expectant mother or mother with young children to attend one of our Maternal Nutrition workshops. The workshops aim to address the problem of malnourishment of young ones in rural Vietnam, where more than one-third of children experience stunted development. From our experience, the mums in these areas crave information on how to give their child a head start, and these workshops provide access to maternal health training.

Our team went on site this week to check out the workshop in a rural community. Watch what a couple of pregnant mothers had to say about the training.

For more info or to sponsor a mother to attend this valuable training, please go to: http://www.aogwr.org/getinvolved/mums-day

As World Immunisation Week (24-30 April 2016) draws to a close, we just wanted to share a sobering statistic:
- 1 in 5 children worldwide are still not being immunised against preventable diseases.

At our Maternity Nutrition workshops in rural Vietnam, expectant mothers and mothers with young children are equipped with lifesaving knowledge about immunisations. For more info: http://www.aogwr.org/getinvolved/mums-day
