Very good food. Good prices. Overall, a very nice dining experience. My boyfriend and I typically get the food from Taste of India at Waterfire. We love it so we decided to go to the restaurant. We went on a Saturday night and did not have a reservation. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately. We started with the potato Samosa which is so incredibly good. We also got the chicken kebab which was delicious. Be sure to get the bread that comes hot from the oven and has a wonderful texture -- slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We had food to take home as the portions were large. We will definitely go back. We dine in some of the best restaurants in RI and the service at Taste of India was truly better than any service that we have had in a while. The staff is VERY attentive and that adds to the enjoyment of a great meal.

Went there on 022213 for dinner. Had a groupon. Decor reminded me of a pizza parlor. Walls looked stained and a look at the tall areas revealed areas covered with grime. They were out of several varieties of beer. Service was rushed and inattatentive though only 3 other parties were in attendance. The waitress wore plastic gloves. Huh? I had a lamb dish. My date had chicken. Dinner was served with a plate of white rice. Both dishes were a bowl of sauce with a few chunks of meat. Really? If this is indian food, its not for us. For $15 each, a much better dinner could be had elsewhere. I will not return.

I dont usually do this but I felt the buffet was not given enough credit. It has wonderful choices and if you feel the need for more they have a wonderful menu also available. I love going to providence and stopping there for lunch. 4 our of 5 stars

As an Indian living in the US for over 7 years, I have eaten at various Indian restaurants in LA, Chicago, NY, Boston and various other places. I can confidently say that this is one of the worst Indian restaurants. Four of us went for lunch buffet on an August Sunday afternoon. We decided to go here because of the reviews on google most of which were very good. However the food here is really bad. The items in the buffet were very limited to begin with. The "naan" (bread) was so hard that you had to struggle to get a bite out of it. The chicken was no different that my friend commented that we needed to ask for a hacksaw to cut into it. The spinach dish was worse than the place at the providence mall (and that is saying something if you have been there). We had asked if we could order some south indian food entrees (which I saw on the website menu before we went there), but the waitress told us that they didn't serve south indian food any more. By saying that the food was bad I don't mean that the spices were toned down to cater to the local population. The food was tasteless, often hard to bite into, limited in selection, and the decor of the place left you wanting. I have never left an Indian buffet after eating a single serving (plate) of food before eating her. Save yourself some time and please go someplace else. - Very disappointed Indian
