Mausoleum of the Martyrdom of Polish Villages in Michniów

The concrete is the perfect material to build this monolithic sculptural architectural.
The building has a characteristic segmented structure. Its tissue is cut across by cracks that divide the architectural form into closed and open parts. This form is the resultant of the sculptural inspirations and thinking of the architecture's consistency with the historical narrative.

Frank Gehry's paper bag: the new building signed Frank Gehry looks like a crampled paper. The articulates spaces shapes “a growing learning organism with many branches of thought, some robust and some ephemeral and delicate“ as Gehry said. It is really important for the architect to choose only local materials, like clay and stone. He paid attention also for the water consumption, using on the roof a sewerage to collect rainwater.

Mons International Congress Xperience (MICX): the new congress center, designed by Libeskind for the Mons cultural capital Europe 2015.The building integratet totally the historical city center with tha new train station designed by Santiago Calatrava. Libeskind connects different contrasting geometric forms.

“For me sustainable building is not a new design trend or an added feature, it is about common sense and quality. If you build in the right way using high-quality materials, innovation and technology, you will create something long lasting and sustainable,” said Daniel Libeskind.
