Proficient with the Mandarin language? If you are, this is an interesting take on the Galaxy Note 4 in comparison with other phones from the Taiwanese point of view.

听得懂华语吗? 这是台湾人对于三星的 Galaxy Note 4 与其他手机比较的一般看法。

Having the Note 3's Air Command and Pen Window features on my Note 8 brings multitasking to a whole new level (along with Scrapbook features and quad view multiwindows). Yes, it does feel like having a new tablet 😚

+Soriea Storm I only have the WiFi 5110 version but after flashing this ROM and getting rid of all the bloat and freezing the processes I don't need and using Greenify to keep app wakelocks in check, I am very happy with the battery life 😊

The ROM comes with Aroma installer and from there, you can also choose not to install any bloat you don't need. All these will contribute to the battery life.

As for the other models of the Note 8, you can browse the following and pick something that caters to your desired model:

Let your Home button go take a holiday

Works too on the Note 8 and Note 2 (even on custom ROMs). The Home button still retains its function but like I'm suggesting; let it take a break and lick its wounds from getting mashed all the time.
Ever since Android 3.0 Honeycomb, Google has been trying to push phone manufacturers to do away with physical menu buttons. Samsung has been one of the lone holdouts, retaining the menu key up until the Galaxy S5, where they finally replaced it with a "recent apps" multitasking button. In this softModder tutorial, I'll be showing you how to easily mod your menu key to act like the GS5's multitasking key. You'll get quick access to your running ap...

My take on the Ditto Note 3 ROM. Might as well, the afternoon right after the Chinese lunar new year holiday is usually a thumb-twiddling boring one, you see.

Finally. While it's true that ads pay the bills, always having the very same ads shoved in your face over and over again ad nauseum nauseous (yup, I said 'ad nauseous') is a major pain in the butt. Life is too short to waste multiple 5 seconds on, so good riddance 🍻

For those of us rocking with the Note 2 and already playing with the Note 3 features on Tigra ROM, version 3 has just been uploaded:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2479698

A full complete wipe is necessary before flashing this one, as according to the developer, so remember to backup your EFS, game data, messaging data and all other important data first.

Heh, even if the official 4.3 update gets released soon, I still think we will do better sticking with a 4.3 ROM from XDA instead so that KNOX can never defile our device with its pesky presence.

+Lionel Go  Bit worried about this leaked firmware ... aren't you concerned about bricking the phone? Isn't it better to wait for official 4.3 release as mentioned from uncle Sammy?

Hello community, I hope the day / evening / night finds you well wherever you happen to be. Just a question:

Has anyone here tried charging the cool as heck Note 4 using an old charger from previous older Note models? If so, any discernible adverse effect on the battery as a result?

Thank you, I'm just paranoid.

If you have a dusty GT-N7100 Note 2 and you are not thinking of getting a Note 4 but you wanna experience its non-hardware dependent features on your old warhorse, the Ditto Note 4 ROM is out.

A complete clean wipe is necessary (as with flashing any other new ROM) to prevent you from having to hunt the aspirin down.
Thank you for solid support..after enormous support from users and countless downloads and praised by all over world we present Kitkat . Hey you ?? Are Yo…

Apps for the Note 2  -

Got root? Then clean house properly.

Cache cleaners are great for what they do but they can't get to the junk on deeper system levels. The root app SD Maid can and I'll let especially the photo on the left speak for the app here.

Exclusions and inclusions can be made at your fingertips and the app is smart enough to know what it shouldn't touch by default unless you tell it to.

I'm sharing this because before I did my regular periodic maintenance just now, I had 7.4gb free space on my device memory. After SD Maid did its thing, my device memory is now 8gb.

For those of us rocking with the Note 3 features on custom ROMs:
Perhaps there are times when you wanna use Air Command but one of your hands is preoccupied and you can't unsheathe the S Pen (never try using your teeth and end up discovering the S Pen actually tastes like a thermometer).

The solution lies in the GMD Air Command app which allows you to place an Air Command icon on your Homescreen. Tap the icon or gesture-set the app and out pops Air Command. Look ma, no S Pen.

Go to the Play Store on your Note 2 and you either can't find the app or you will get that 'Not compatible with your device' message thrown in your face (unless you happen to have a certain Xposed module installed). But here's the XDA link to the downloadable APK:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2610770

Tested on my DN3 and Tigra ROM and it's working without a hitch (except for Scrapbooker which can't function with fingers by default). Oughta work too on other ROMs with Air Command.

Don't forget you can summon Pen Window via this way too using just your finger. Give the middle one to Apple.

No, it pops up at the default place just like on the Note 3. The only way to have Air Command come out higher or at any other location is to summon it with the S Pen.

I don't make posts in Public Mode but I feel the need to for this one:

There is no sense in me having escaped the chaotic nonsense on Facebook just to encounter it here again on Google+. As such, I choose the folks I add to my Circles carefully after spying on studying the kind of posts they most frequently, as opposed to occasionally make; See? I don't even have a high QC standard at all:

My No-no's:
•Photos that blackmail your morality into liking them (you don't dictate or coerce what people should like. That's Apple's job and I'm sure you are not Tim Cook).

•Racism (racist jokes are not funny at all even when they can seem funny sometimes.).

•Folks who post article links but copy and quote HUGE chunks off the bodies of the same articles without so much as giving their own thoughts on the subject at hand (cows regurgitate. For us humans, we can read for ourselves if we are interested and I happen to be interested in your own independent thoughts).

•Torrents of almost nothing else but photos of food (I won't turn my feed into a freaking restaurant menu and get reminded of how Facebookers always seem to be constantly gluttonous hungry. The Hungry Ghost month is in August, not everyday).

•Meaningless or vague one-liners like "Sigh.." (if you refuse to explain yourself, might as well don't make a post of it at all. There's Twitter and your favourite Facebook to satisfy what the mystics call 'Emptiness Without Substance').

•Folks I've never even had a single conversation with before trying to video hangout with me without giving me a reason to beforehand. Creepy.

So, the purpose of this Public Mode post is to apologise to the folks who have Circled me but whom I didn't Circle back. Sorry. It's nothing personal, it's just a difference in preferences for social media enjoyment. I'm not being proud, I'm just trying to keep my feed clean and peachy.

Relatively speaking, my post here could be nonsense in your eyes anyway. Peace.

Oh man, I just tested my Puzzle Bubble PSP game with the PPSSPP app on my Note and it plays just awesome.

I'm gonna rip my favourite Playstation 1 games Silent Hill and Resident Evil into PSP eBoots and relieve the classic horrors again on my Note 2 or Note 8. I'm sure playing them on the bigger screens of my Note devices as compared to the smaller screen of the PSP is gonna be a treat ♥
