I love taking my kids into Federation Square. it is easy to get to by public transport and there is always something going on. The Footy activities were great in the lead up to the grand final and we loved the Helix tree. Great food and atmosphere. ACME is a family favourite.

Federation Square is another great meeting point and is a favorite of many. This is where culture, entertainment, education and lifestyle all converge The space is very versatile as it hosts numerous festivals and organised events. There is ample parking in the structure a few hundred meters away and it is right opposite the train station and tram stops.( all are within walking distance) I think federation square is like a menu. Once you get there you can decide if you want to go to one of the many cafes, or check out the art gallery, or head over for a walk along the river, or just sit on the steps to people watch weather permitting. Maybe you want to dine at one of the restaurants or meet at the pub for dancing and drinks. Or watch the footy on the big screen. The list goes on.... So you can customise your experience as age is no boundry

Federation Square is one of my favourite places in Melbourne. I love the numerous festivals and events organised there. The Lights in Winter Festival was superbly managed and the light installations were brilliant, especially the Helix Tree.

Great movie theatre with foreign films. The tickets are also quite cheap so it made the family trip a little easier on the pocket!
