Great interview with  Anthony Carnevale @GeorgetownCEW. If we are going to figure out how to prepare our youth for the 21st century economy we must understand the lessons learned with regards to workforce preparation.

"Kansas Department of Labor, uses a rigorous set of criteria to identify a list of high-demand occupations and associated credentials."  This should be something all Departments of Labor should do instead of leaving up to school district CTE departments. A system approach requires state level leadership!

If we have good jobs and careers that do not require a BA then we should have school systems that prepare students for career opportunities not just university entrance requirements.
