A DEA Agent stopped at a ranch in Texas and talked to an old rancher. He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." The rancher said, "okay, but don't go into that field over there...", as he pointed out the location. The DEA Agent verbally exploded and said, "look mister, I have the authority of the federal government with me!" Reaching into his rear back pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this badge?! This badge means I can go wherever I want... On any land! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand old man?!"

The rancher kindly nodded, apologized, and went about his chores. Moments later the rancher heard loud screams, he looked up and saw the DEA agent running for his life, being chased by the ranchers big Santa Gertrudis Bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it was likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The old rancher threw down his tools, ran as fast as he could to the fence, and yelled at the top of his lungs......

"YOUR BADGE! SHOW HIM YOUR BADGE!"

Along The Meguro River || Tokyo

I’m excited to say that +Naomi Locardi and I have just arrived in Kyoto Japan to kick off five weeks of chasing the blooming cherry blossoms. :)

This will be our second Sakura season and I’m 100% confident that it will be far from the last. With every visit we seem to fall deeper in love with the wonderful Japanese culture, the fascinating cities, and the gorgeous countryside. I’m really looking forward to being back!

Last year—on my short visit to Tokyo—I was fortunate to get the chance to spend a few hours wandering along the Meguro river, crossing all the little bridges, and searching for an area to set up my camera. With so many beautiful spots, it wasn't easy to choose but I eventually settled on the one you see here.

As I stood there, the wind kicked up, producing strong gusts that caused thousands of cherry blossom petals to rain down all around me. Consequently, the wind also made photography more difficult with the fading light. Let’s just say that it was a frustratingly beautiful problem to have. ;)

Dear Senator Hagan,

If you voted for the ACA, you don't deserve another term in the Senate. If you support the IRS targeting of conservative organizations, you don't deserve another term in the Senate. If you advocate for the restriction of campaign spending by groups you oppose but support the spending of special interests that favor you, you don't deserve another term in the Senate. If you stood and applauded the President when he proclaimed he would by-pass Congress and act unilaterally to further his agenda, you don't deserve another term in the Senate. Not to leave out your fellow NC Senator Richard Burr. Senator Burr, I don't want the ACA fixed, I want it repealed. Just blowing off a little steam fellow NC conservatives, thanks for your time.

Dear Google+
Why has this started defaulting to the 2 column layout every time I refresh my browser. I want single pane view and it aggravates the hell out of me to have to spend the time to get back the way I want it. Really I appreciate your trying to improve the service but you're going about it the wrong way.

My response to a Democrat survey I received recently....

I would advise anyone against supporting the Democrat party at this time. The party has evolved into an arm of the Communist party since I registered as a Democrat in 1972. The leadership is committed to creating dependence on federal programs and controlling the populace at every level. I believe in small government at the federal level, reduced spending, fiscal responsibility and personal responsibility. If we continue sending Democrats to Congress and the White House, the future of this country is bleak at best, non existent at worst.Economic chaos is rapidly approaching and the Democrat party's response is to continue spending like no day of reckoning exists.Having said that I have no more faith in the Republicans at the moment. I appears that I'm a man without a party!

When we limit the actions that our Federal government is allowed to do, limit congress from passing any law that does not include every single citizen from being under the law.  Get back to States rights and realize that not everything must be equal, which it isn't anyway, regardless of all the laws passed.  Then perhaps we may have a chance of recovery.

Question, I've been trying to revive a laptop my wife uses. Tried 12.04 and up but I get a screen saying recursive failure needs reboot on every version. Anyone got suggestions on what the problem might be? Thanks for your help.
