12/18/2012: Nomad Script (UNSOLVED)
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/01/item/hjscript.png

Footer contains the following faded text:
vs2.ds2s2es1n
a.fdnnfs1
2/2 2/3 4/5 1/2 0/p 4/4 4/5 3/5 1/5 0/6 0/8 2/2

Also the page numbers are an unusual sequence: 1,8,14,15,16

Random Thoughts:

22 characters total.  20 without periods.

Numerators range: 0 thru 4
Denominators range: 2 thru 8, and one "p"

On a calendar, the 1st, 8th, 14th, 15th, and 16th days of the month from an upside-down "T".

An upside down "T" is a symbol for "perpendicular."

12/17/2012: Narrative Management "X2.mp3" (SOLVED)
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/01/item/johnson.html

The document contains two hidden files under two "x"s.
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/01/item/x2.mp3
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/01/item/x3.mp3

Generate a "melodic range spectrogram" using Sonic Visualizer software. ( http://www.sonicvisualiser.org )

There are twenty groups.  Each group contains 2 to 6 individual tones on  any of 7 possible frequencies.

Solution for x2.mp3 summarized by +aza rine

For x2, notes were ECFGAD DCBGFA FGDAEC AEGDF ACB GDCBA BAC BCAEFD EACFDG FABDGC CBA BGAED DGECFA AFDGC CDBGA ACFDG DABCG BC EFADCG DEBCG
seven segment code from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven-segment_display was applied to that, for example ECFGAD = all on except B = 6 DCBGFA = all on except E = 9, and so on, you should end up with 69 6E 73 70 69 72 65 35 31 6d , which is hex for ascii chars inspire51m

Solution summary for "x3.mp3" by +Johnathan Chung

Divide the audio file into blocks then rearrange based on the tone frequency (lowest to highest).

Finally, speed up the result to get the following clip of a voice saying misty12i which was an #Ingress  passcode.

12/15/2012: Regaining the Initiative (SOLVED)
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/01/item/regaining.html

Solution summary by +Johnathan Chung

Three #Ingress  passcodes are hidden in the document.

1) End of 3rd paragraph of Dr. Kureze’s email after “extremely unpredictable” is small text: 7uf4enochu8z4r.
Substitute Enoch’s last name to get 7uf4dalbyu8z4r

2) Message-ID in email header contains: M3FoNWVpbnN0ZWlucTd0NnU
Convert from Base64 to ASCII to get 3qh5einsteinq7t6u

3) MIME boundary numbers: '3234322032-3030203536-2031313720=:32333520'--32333520-3130362032-33382031=:313520323139

Reformat (remove symbols): 3234322032303020353620313137203233352032333520313036203233382031313520323139

Convert from hexadecimal to ASCII: (32 = 2,  34 = 4....)
242 200 56 117 235 235 106 238 115 219

Convert from decimal to base64: 8sg4devrau5z2w==

8sg4devrau5z2y is an #Ingress passcode.

12/16/2012: +Ingress Homepage Background Image (PARTIALLY SOLVED??)
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/ingress/img/landing/bg.jpg

Partially (??) solved by +Gary Calpo  w/ help from Decrypto Online [1]

The decoded message reads:

WHAT FOLLOWS IS THE SECRET
HIDDEN MESSAGE FROM GLASS AND MARKER
WE DONT HAVE ANYTHING
PROFOUND TO SAY BUT WE HOPE YOU
HAVE ENJOYED DOCIDING THIS
SECRET HIDDEN MESSAGE
WELL PERHAPS NOT HIDDEN

In the attached image, letters in red indicate "high confidence" portions of the solution. Letters in blue  indicate "best guess" solutions.

Glass and Marker did not make sense at first.  A quick Google search reveals that Glass & Marker, Inc. [2] created, among other things,  videos for the #Ingress   and +Field Trip   mobile apps.

"SAY BUT" is in blue because the original glyphs were difficult to discern and the words are closer together than would be expected, but the symbols for "SAY BUT" appear to agree with the high-confidence portions of the solution.

"DOCIDING" is in blue as it does not make sense right away.  The word "DECODING" would make more sense, but it does not match the symbols provided.

Is "DOCIDING" a hint?  The EXIF data [3] of the JPG contains the following Document ID: CD07BFA2261411E2B1DF8825A383EDDF

12/14/2012: The Niantic Investigation 6 - Klue - Epiphany (SOLVED)
The Niantic Investigation 6 - Klue - Epiphany

At 1:18, an image appears with a series of glyphs in the upper-left.

Solution from IRC:

On the 15th, the word of the day is "Asemic writing." The glyphs are from the Asemic True-Type font created by Tony Burhouse [1]

Use a character map utility to translate the glyphs to regular alphanumeric text to get three ALREADY_REDEEMED #Ingress passcodes.

9pd5resonatew3t2t
