Ice Cream Lab is a made-to-order ice cream shop that uses state-of-the-art ice cream machines to instantly freeze raw ingredients with its special liquid nitrogen process to make uniquely smooth and creamy desserts. Inside the Beverly Hills lab everything is created in front of your eyes right when you order it. Products and ingredients have no additives, preservatives, or chemicals that are bad for you. All ingredients within the store are truly fresh and strive to use the most organic local ingredients available. Even more, you can turn each of these treats into a shake.

The Ice Cream Lab was brought to life by Co-founders Joseph Lifschutz and Tommy Ngan. We are extremely excited to be the first in Los Angeles to bring you the experience of a real made to order ice cream shop. Our state of the art machine instantly freezes your delicious treat into a uniquely smooth and creamy dessert. Our lab is truly like your own factory, just step inside and watch your treat be frozen and prepared right in front of your eyes!

I had the pleasure of trying out Ice Cream Lab since I won freebie coupons from an event :) Walking in, you notice that it's very blue and "cool" looking. You also see the liquid nitrogen machines right away. Their menu can differ from the flavors on their website as I walked in wanting to get Nutting Honey (pistachio ice cream with roasted pistachios on top) but they didn't have it available :( So instead I got Banilla, which was vanilla mixed with a whole banana, nilla wafers, and caramel. Yummm! Not too sweet and I got it with a waffle cup. My friend got Apple Pie which was vanilla with cinnamon spiced apples and honey graham crackers. It DID taste like an apple pie but it was much too sweet for me. It was fun watching them mix the ingredients in and seeing the "experiment" come to be. Prices are $5+ and they don't have a restroom for customers.

The best part about using liquid nitrogen, besides the cool effects, is your ice cream is so creamy and smooth. No ice crystals or freezer burn in sight. Because the ice cream doesn't need to be preserved, there are no extra ingredients you can’t pronounce added. All you get is pure unadulterated ice cream. I love all their unique flavors and the rotating menu insures you get to try them all. The perfect spot to end a nice dinner date or take a break at after a hectic day of shopping.

One of a kind make your own ice cream shop. Ice Cream Lab creates your ice cream order in front of your eyes. You place your order and you watch your server place items into the blue Liquid Nitrogen machine. The door shuts and cold air flushes out. The server opens the latch and viola your ice cream is made! They offer a variety of flavors including Thai Tea, Salted Caramel, Vanilla and Chocolate.

The place is very clean and well put together. Staff is very friendly. The concept is pretty cool (no pun intended) but the experience is more exciting than the taste.

I was fascinated by their concept of making "fresh" ice cream in front of your eyes...but the gimmick can only go that far...I am not complaining about the flavor /quality of their ice cream. But I just don't think nothing else really stood out: 1) Very few options to choose from. When I was there, there were only 4 flavors to choose. Even though the owner was creative enough to give each flavor the most awesome and unique names, you can tell they are just the very basic ones: blue velvet, salted caramel, apple pie..and something else i cant remember. 2) There is no samples for you to taste. Actually I won't consider it as a drawback. It goes well with the marketing they are doing. It's kinda buy it at your own risk kinda thing. I don't mind. But I don't think it will work if it happens in any other ice cream stores. 3) Rules...rules..rules. I wanted to try both the blue velvet and the salted caramel, but nooooo! apparently they can only make one type of flavor from the machine at once.And it will basically fit the entire cup. So you will have to either get two cups filled with two different ice creams, or just give up one. Overall, great concept with smart marketing tactic. But I really hope the owner could do something to improve the customer service. At the end of the day, you don't want to say "NO" to your customers too many times.

Milk? Check Flavorings? Check Ice? Forget it. Liquid Nitrogen it is! These folks decided to use the chilling properties of liquid nitrogen to instantly freeze their cream with the pull of a lever. Unconventional? Yes. Delicious? Absolutely. ColdStone Creamery has nothing on this place in terms of freshness. Not only are they creative in making the ice cream, but their flavors as well. From Blue Velvet to Banilla, and even Apple Pie, you're sure to have plenty of options to choose from at this place. The ice cream is excellent quality and the fun of watching them make the stuff in the first place is worth the price alone. Go check it out! Highly recommended!

Visited this place for a private event and was very amazed on how the ice cream is made. I had not experienced any place like this before and found it to be very delicious! Your ice cream is as fresh as it could be with any ingredients you choose or pic from the menu. Very reasonably priced and very friendly staff. Located in the heart of beverly Hills this place is an awesome choice for a great ice cream
