Recently Karen & I bought a Little Guy teardrop trailer. Our first trip was to the Adirondack Mountains. This trailer exceeded our expectations and our Mini Cooper Countryman had power to spare when towing.
Yesterday was the last shoot for Friendship Donation Network, now it is on to the editing of all this material collected over the past six months. While on location, my volunteer assistant Talya took this footage of me with some kids. At the time I had no idea she was doing it.
Earlier this week I went out on the Floating Classrooom (http://www.floatingclassroom.net/) to learn how to identify an invasive species called Hydrilla. It has been spotted in the Inlet that feeds Cayuga Lake and a couple of places along the shoreline. Given that its growth would wipe out using the lake as we now do, I have volunteered to sample rake and ID the aquatic plants that grow in our cove.
This was the first time out sailing for our new friends, the Furatas: Karuma on the tiller with his mother Junko and Fumio on the camera. It was an amazing afternoon for sailing and as you can see, we were really moving along! They loved it.
