So, not having a good day so far. Just found out I will not be teaching CAD this semester at AACC, which I was very much looking forward to after a year hiatus. Now I just missed 2 chances for hangouts. Not giving up yet though, I will make this work . . . Now I just have more time this semester for my new blog . . .

Hmm. I wonder if I am not in the circle he invited. I still don't see any available hangouts.

Yup. Added him, and like an hour later he added me. Very quick.

So, Shaan Hurley is kind of like Guy Kawasaki was for Apple way back when (my fellow Mac gurus will know what I mean) and I got to have a 20 minute "Hangout" with him last Friday. So cool. He worked on AutoCAD for Mac. He has my dream job. "Technology Evangelist" Not the most flattering photo of me BTW.

My first hangout. Not bad. Got to hangout with a CAD celeb, Shaan Hurley. Very cool. Need a better connection here at work, better video quality. Otherwise, cool tech.

So Lion is awesome! Love the gestures, Mission Control is cool, iCal looks cool, Mail is awesome. Reverse scrolling is becoming more second nature . . . Still playing . . .

The gestures are sweet. The autosave feature is awesome too. I'm gonna be screwed using a windows box.

So, now I am trying to figure out how much stuff I can take off my MBP to make room for Lion. Its only a 128GB SSD, and I need 10.6 for some software testing I do, and Windows 7. Anyone have a hard drive stretcher I can borrow?

This is a wonderful Martial Arts School. I am not sure why someone posted that comment. ECMA has been in this area for over 19 years and we don't have to do any seminars to test. If we miss too many classes, there are make up classes available. Only if we miss too many classes and all our make up classes are we not eligible to test. If that occurs we may either opt to do some private lessons and/or go to a testing workshop camp where we can get class credits. This martial arts school has a ton of integrity. Parents sometimes get upset if their child cannot test because they miss too many classes and or aren't ready to test. This shows me integrity. Not sure why the other post says different unless they are not a student or a parent that expects to get something just because they show up. There are many schools that will just give rank if a parent complains. This isn't one of them. Master Tommy and instructors, your doing a great job. Don't change a thing.
