Um the curved piece will not fit the model boards as it's radius is larger to accommodate the metal thingy. Also, I'm not clear why the metal thingy was needed...couldn't you have just clamped (strapped) it directly to the work piece.
I'm not even sure that reply justifies a comment as you don't seem capable of taking criticism and like to build contraptions that serve little to no purpose. As for me trying to bend, curve and laminate wood. I don't do it often as I find find it very useful. But in 20 years of wood, metal, leather and plastic working I've formed pretty much every different material you can think of at one time or another. I guess that's maybe that experience is why I see no need to add unnecessary complication and "calculation" like the curvythingy to accomplish quality work. But whatever floats your boat.
