S4 solves Rubik's Cube in 3.25 seconds vs. 5.5 for fastest human time. Certainly part of the explanation is speed of the robotic hands, but the computational power is also impressive for a phone-powered robot. Maybe our phone's algorithms can next tell us which cat videos to watch.

This idea deserves attention by movie theater chains and training simulators. I.e. convergence of theme park tech with cinema.

The first Lancaster Roots and Blues music festival on Feb 21, 22 is shaping up nicely with 50 artists in 9 venues on 10 stages, all within walking distance. Here is a podcast interview (about 10 minutes in) with Rich Ruoff, festival organizer. Rich aims to make this an annual destination for people who live and love music. I'm getting jazzed (so to speak) and really like the fact that you can drift in and out of those 9 venues each night to catch as much musical diversity as possible.

Kepler 186f >> Earth 2.0.

Now, we just need to build the Alcubierre warp drive bubble to check it out.

An ambitious plan to create fusion on earth and generate an endless supply of energy. It seems to be an imperative to save our planet (for human use) and most countries agree, including Russia and China. So why are we spending such trivial amounts on this project
(ITER, the way)? Saving the world seems to warrant investing an amount equal to at least one month's expenditure on Quanative Easing (QE). I suppose most people (both general public and many ITER project workers) cannot cognitively process slow motion emergencies. Maybe ITER project planners should establish milestone celebration events that are broadly publicized to show progress. It would give us hope that we can look beyond the next 12 seconds of world events and actually work together on hard problems.

It is an astounding and ambitious plan. And it's possible, as with many scientific endeavors, that it will not work. Imagine a life's work which results only in learning their ideas and theory did not bear fruit? So if you struggled with a cell phone but finally succeeded, then chalk it up as a win and step up your game to the next level. Like feeding streaming videos through your multimedia center equipment so residents can watch your programming choices. Just a thought!
