I have seen my family struggle as immigrants trying to secure employment that reflected their qualifications. Having failed that I then watched them struggle to build a cleaning business.
In the meantime I failed to land my dream job and also struggled to find employment reflecting my own qualifications. The solution? I decided to buy into a business franchise and invested more money than I could earn in one year. Unfortunately this failed in less than 6 months leaving me heavily indebted. I took up work in Asda (Walmart) and eventually worked as a support worker to try and get by. The whole experience made me angry, sad and even suicidal at one point.
Having found some success I now have a desire to build businesses and assist others who may feel like they are the underdog and aren't getting a fair shot at things.
They also say that the disparity between rich and poor continues to grow each year. Let's help ourselves by choosing entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. This is my cause. This is my why.
