A poem about my skydiving instructor friend, Robin. #RIP #RobinNicoleBallachey #RobinNicoleJumps #poetry #poem

Heartbroken to learn of the death of a friend. Working on my hotshot memoir this week lead me to search for my friend from that crew, Robin. I've deleted my fb profile more than once and that's the only reason we weren't still connected. She died in a sky diving accident on May 7, 2015. A sky diving instructor, she was kind, adventurous, and the life of the party wherever she went. She also helped me through some difficult times. RIP Robin Nicole Ballachey.

I'm finally getting close to completing my memoir, What We've Been Training For! Eight years in the making, an exercise in frustration, and a labor of both, obsession and love, it should be done by summer's end. It will mix flash memoir pieces with longer essays and stories. #amwriting #writers #writerslife

Book Cover Know-how
"If you are a well-known author, your books may sell themselves because readers trust the story or the content, but if you are new, then you need to make a statement with the first thing a reader sees: the book cover design." —Alexander Von Ness

This book kept me on the edge of my seat.
The Girl on the Train

The depiction of the character's alcoholism was good but the story had too many black holes to describe plot twists. I thought the therapist doing a house call was quite inexplicable.
