BIG NEWS!: Facebook announced today that it's taking on YouTube and allowing users to embed videos uploaded to Facebook elsewhere. See http://bit.ly/1bxVXFl. Via +ReadWrite

CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in the morning keynote that video will likely be the most common type of content uploaded to Facebook within five years. Facebook is already seeing 65 percent of video views come from mobile devices, making them a priority for the company.

So how does this affect the way you will use Facebook to market your small business? If you're not already using YouTube, things may have just gotten easier for you. It will be interesting to see how things develop.

We always tell our clients that internet marketing is about telling stories. Imagine a children’s book with words and pictures. Now imagine the book with only words. Now imagine the book with only pictures. Words are extremely important. But words alone won’t always get the attention of your target audience and your story may never be told. Bottom line is that if the pictures are good and tell a story, you really won’t need a lot of words.
