On behalf of the Scientific/Education Planning Committee, I am very excited to invite you to Boston for the 38th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting, which will be held May 2-5, 2013.
This upcoming Spring Annual Meeting program is shaped by the feedback from members and past meeting participants.  For 2013, we set out to emphasize the most positive aspects of ASRA--access to experts, innovative teaching, and timely relevant topics.
Ask the Experts interactive demonstrations and new simulation-based workshops (crisis management and ultrasound-guided perineural catheter insertion) will give participants practical experiences with tips and tricks that they can apply right away.  Past attendees have asked for more practice management strategies, so we have dedicated a general session to this important topic which will cover documentation and billing, consent issues, marketing, and other key issues.  The ASRA-ESRA parallel session returns in 2013 to provide attendees with international perspectives on joint replacement patient care protocols.  We will spend a day reviewing and updating the evidence basis for ultrasound guidance in regional anesthesia.  New refresher course lecture and session topics include pay for performance, LAST for non-anesthesiologists, new strategies for labor analgesia, acute pain management for special populations, and much much more!
We hope to see you in Boston!
