I heard these Muso Shindo words much more than Muso Shinden-ryu. I was also taught this style by Yasuhiko Takemori Sensei. He was teaching in a gymnasium right next to the train station about three stops towards Yokohama from the Shio Iri Station which was the closest to the Yokosuka Naval Base. Takemori Sensei had an Iaido class on Saturday mornings at this location. We were learning tate hiza (standing knee) katas when my Navy time in Japan ended in February 1997. I have continued to teach myself Eishin-ryu katas with this Muso Shindo philosophy applied. Everything was taught in Japanese. My understanding was still very limited, so I continued to watch closely and copy. Very little was explained.
