After exploring through Google+ since 2014, it was really hard decision to find a new home - which lead us to MeWe. When we first heard about MeWe, frankly we did not expect much, but when we joined it yesterday... the experience of first 24 hours are quite amazing.

After joining it, two things that we have noticed are one, far more people engagement in community chat than Google+ and second, absence of well moderated community [Groups], so we made some 24x7 moderated Open group (means you don't need anyone's permission to join) on following subject:-

> For Space & Astronomy - SPACE
https://mewe.com/join/space1

> For Photography - Photography on MeWe
https://mewe.com/join/photography_on_mewe

> For Science - Science on MeWe
https://mewe.com/join/science_on_mewe

> For Technology - Technology On MeWe
https://mewe.com/join/technology_on_mewe

If you are also searching for an alternative of G+, MeWe is worth giving a try. If you need any kind of assistance please feel free to write to us, we will be glad to help you.

/UPDATE/

Pages - These will go live later this month! This will allow to create business and fan pages on MeWe where one can make open posts for all of MeWe to see and share.

Public Posts - They will go live soon. On each of your timeline posts you'll get to decide if you want it so just your contacts can see the post or if you want everyone on MeWe to be able to see the post.

Re-sharing - Right now it works more like a copy than a share. When public posts roll out, sharing will be fixed so it gives credit to the original poster.

Supermoon Resting Atop A Radio Telescope.
A perfectly-timed Supermoon catch, probably that's the first impression you have after seeing this image, but wait... there is a surprise for you. Actually this amazing photo is a creative creation of astrophotographer Chris Pegman, where he combined two of his images, an image of radio telescope at Warkworth & a shot of a supermoon. "I was just having fun... I didn't realise the gem I'd created," Pegman said in a interview.

New York State isn’t all skyscrapers and teeming crowds. The Empire State is home to a diverse geography, including some wild places. Letchworth State Park, a wilderness near Rochester follows the Genesee River some 27 kilometres through a deep gorge that’s known as the ‘Grand Canyon of the East.’

Howick, a town near the east coast of South Africa, where this monument honours the activist and South African president Nelson Mandela. Like Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the US, Mandela Day celebrated on Mandela’s birthday-is intended not as a holiday exactly but as a day to answer the ‘global call to action’ by finding ways to engage in service to your local community.

Comet moth in Ranomafana National Park, Madagascar

The comet moth or Madagascan moon moth is an African moth, native to the rain forests of Madagascar. The male has a wingspan of 20 cm and a tail span of 15 cm, making it one of the world's largest silk moths. The female lays from 120-170 eggs and after hatching the larvae feed on Eugenia and Weinmannia leaves for approximately two months before pupating. The cocoon has numerous holes to keep the pupa from drowning in the daily rains of its natural habitat. The adult moth cannot feed and only lives for 4 to 5 days.

Scientists estimate that there are some 160,000 species of moth worldwide, outnumber butterflies by more than 9 to 1. And they come in all sizes, too, ranging from pygmy moths with just a 0.1 inch wingspan to the Atlas moth that's nearly 12 inches across.

Composite of photographs from the Apollo 15 mission, 1971

Today is Moon Day, commemorating the day in 1969 that Neil Armstrong first set foot on the moon. Eleven other astronauts have gone on to follow in his bootsteps, including Commander David Scott and Lunar Module Pilot James Irwin during the Apollo 15 EVA 3 mission, who took these historic photos on the moon’s surface in 1971. Stitched together these images its a composite panorama of their landing site, where they spent three days conducting research. If only they had selfie sticks back then, it could be more mesmerising.

On July 20, 1969, NASA's Apollo 11 Lunar Module lands 238,855 miles from Earth in the Sea of Tranquility and six hours later astronaut Neil Armstrong exits the vehicle, descends a short ladder, and becomes the first human to walk on the moon. Minutes later, astronaut Buzz Aldrin join Armstrong on the surface.
