Chris's posts

Wow, it's been a while since I posted here...

Well, for anyone interested, I've resumed blogging, but am doing so elsewhere... my original blog Veritas (burgyetal.blogspot.com) still exists, but I'm writing in a more focused way on the intersection of Christianity and culture at Cruciform, which has the oh-so-unique url of chrisburgwald.com  :-)

I'll link to posts from time to time, but in the meantime, please feel free to stop by, check it out, and leave a comment or two!

Any recommendations for a good primer on continental philosophy?

Okay, +Debra Dayton and +Lisa Josephsdatter, what do you recognize in this trailer...?  ;-)

So it seems that the only fiction that keeps my attention these days are "young adult" (i.e. teen) dystopias... I read the Hunger Games trilogy late last year and early this year, then more recently The Maze Runner... could be that I simply like lighter stuff when it comes to fiction these days, or it could be that my attention span has become woefully inadequate... :-(

"Evangelization and catechesis… for those who have a passion for proclaiming the Catholic faith, these are commonly used words, which makes it all the more surprising that they are commonly misused, or more precisely, 'mis-related'."

Re-watching the most recent Star Trek movie (Into Darkness) on Netflix. Let me just say that in my considered opinion, the Prime Directive is... dumb.

Movie's still good though.
