Great service, very attentive. The place has a really nice atmosphere: lots of wood, ample space (though the sitting space can get a bit crowded) and a large bar on one side. We had the Catfish Po' Boy and Bananas Foster 'Cakes for brunch. The Po' Boy had just the right tang of spiciness, though the chips were just plain bag chips. The pancakes were a bit underdone and there was a lot more pancake than banana. The coffee was slightly weak.

Cool concept and food is decent but the servers are absolutely terrible. They always seem hungover. Been there twice and both times they took a long time to bring us our drinks and food. Both times, they mixed up everyone's order and could care less.

I will never return to this place again. I came for a friends birthday and had the worst experience in service I have ever encountered. The Server Whitney was drunk, sloppy, took forever to get food and drinks on the table and made racist comments at my table while my friend was doing her best to enjoy her birthday dinner. When the food eventually came it was good but Its new york city, take your money somewhere else that takes pride in its service. I talked to a manager and he sent over shots and dessert, it was the least they could do seeing that the server offended the entire party multiple times and called one of my friends "Andre" (not his name and she knew that) and told us that we (a group of black people) all look the same to her and called a friend of mine an a$$hole. NEVER AGAIN!

I have had every dish they offer since they've been open. If you like FLAVOR, Catfish is the best! Good beers, friendly staff, amazing food plus a backyard. What could be better?

My food was burned and it's how my waiter handled it that prompted this review. I ordered the Chicken fried steak. Visually, It was clearly burned, however I took a small bite to confirm my belief. Definitely burn to the point that you can only taste charred breading. I sent it back immediately and finished the rest of my eggs and grits. The bill comes and it includes the chicken. I brought it to the waiter's attention and he his response was "yea, it doesn't matter that you sent it back, we are not taking it off your bill". I kindly let him know that I will not paying for something that poorly delivered, not edible and sent back. The couple next to us agreed on the condition and his attitude was piss poor. The manager removed the item after a fight and I believe this place lost 4 customers that day. Just based on how the situation was handled. Not to mention the full price, shot glass size drinks. BEWARE!

I first visited Catfish for a Yelp event last year, it's still my favorite event to date. I was happy to be able to revisit a couple weeks ago and it was better than I remember. The waiter was awesome, drinks were great, and the food was pretty damn good. We started with crab cakes and crawfish mac. The crab cakes were alright. The mac and cheese was pretty good, the cheeses don't have a ton of flavor and I felt like it could have used a little salt and pepper but it still was a very enjoyable dish. For my main I got the bayou burger. It was chopped up pieces of alligator formed into a patty. It had a pretty decent kick to it so I'd stay away if you're not a fan of spice. I haven't had alligator in while so it was a nice treat and I'd highly recommend it. My friend had the pulled pork which I didn't really care for that much but she seemed to love. Personally I'd say skip it. On this visit I didn't get any desert but at the Yelp event I had the bread pudding and it was delicious. My favorite part about Catfish is the hurricanes. They're a good size and pack a mean punch. At $10 they're reasonably priced but you'll end up having several so watch out. I really wish this place was easier to get to by subway but even so I'll definitely be back. It's a great time.

Went here because I was craving shrimp and grits and I was told it was the place to be. Was definitely not disappointed. My meal was amazing! I went during a weekday lunch and the place was completely empty. Bartender was cool enough though. Great selection of bourbon and my slice of pumpkin pie was the best. Definitely want to go back and see what the night scene is about.

I actually really enjoy this place. Great atmosphere. Great staff and really good soul food. Heck they even have a backyard for when the weather's nice.
