I've been here once for brunch and once for dinner. Brunch was very good, although a little pricier than an everyday brunch. The fresh donut holes were delicious as was the benedict. It is a perfect place for a nice dinner or drinks before a show at ACL Live. The seared scallops were so yummy and so was the onion butter we had with the easy tiger bread (chef selects whipped butters). Service was a little slow in the beginning at dinner, but ended up okay and it was a really busy night as many others were dining there before the sold out show at ACL Live.

Its not the best W restaurant i've been to but like most W's, the decor, service and layout are all top notch. Grab a drink in the library bar, mozy through the little labyrinth to get to the resto and take a seat, great patio here with a nice vibe and good people watching on busy nights (especially when the Moody theater is bumping). Cocktails are strong, I had a goat dish which I wouldn't get again (wasnt bad just wasnt great) and the fries are very good! Good for a business dinner or a date night if you're out of ideas as the W has a mix of everything you want from intimate area's, good music, food, walking distance, all wrapped up in a great atmosphere.

Great outdoor seating area with a menu that will make any mouth water. The only thing I didn't like was was having to only choose 1 main meal. Great experience, music, food, and service.

One of our highlights in Austin was breakfast at Trace. Loved the atmosphere, the decor, and the outdoor patio. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was delicious. Pricy, but worth it. :) (Does not validate parking ticket to garage on the left of it's entrance, possibly the one across the street?)

I met a friend for lunch here recently. Very nice place. I had the burger. It was quite good. The bun was toasted just right, the patty was done just the way I like it. The toppings were served on the side, which made it nice for me to stack the burger up the way I like it. The side of coleslaw was quite interesting. I'm not sure what was in it, but it was very different and delicious. The service was great, too. It's a little pricy compared to other lunch venues in the area, but it is a solid place. Check it out.

I had heard good things about Trace. My boyfriend and I had a date night there. The restaurant was a little confusing to find because of how it's located in the W. It has a very elegant look with the low-lighting. We sat on there patio area. The menu is small but has a variety of options. We shared a salad that was very fresh and bright. I got a rabbit ragout that was not what expected but in a very good way. The in house pasta and sauce was delicate and just right. Not to heavy or over powering. The only thing is I wish it had more pieces of rabbit mixed in. My boyfriend got the lamb chops which were good but we've had better. Nonetheless, I recommend Trace.

Went here for breakfast, actually stayed at the W. The food was alright, poached eggs and toast and some bacon. Not really sure how you can go wrong there. Unfortunately the service was just so so. The waiter took forever to even come by and ask for our drink orders, and then never came back after taking our orders. We never saw him again, so that is that. The outdoor seating is nice, the atmosphere is nice, the food is okay, the service is lack luster.

The beet salad is beautiful. I'm salivating right now just thinking about the freshness of the beets paired with the tartness of the goat cheese mousse. Goodness gracious. I don't know who thought of that, but I could kiss them. The restaurant's "shabby chic" decor is to die for. It's just the right touch for the location and, though Iive in Austin, I wan't to spend a long weekend at the adjacent W Hotel just so that I can eat at Trace every day. Yes. The whole package is just that good.
