Would you keep a grapevine that never bore fruit? Is sufficient to look pretty?

Yesterday I wrote about The Rochester Family's gospel music. Today I hope you'll get a taste of their Scott Matthew's preaching. He certainly knows about a family that does things together!

We are expected to have good judgment - and to make judgment calls. A long way, though, from being what is now defined as judgmental.

If there were headlines from then and now - how alike would they be?

Seven days. One week - and there's still one more part to think about. I don't believe today's step is one where people become stuck, though. When we accomplish this step, it remains with us, and that is a very good thing.

Everyday events contain biblical lessons for our lives.

I finished the blog this morning - but didn't get it Shared in Google+ until now because I was away taking a picture for a 90-year-old lady who wanted to be certain her photo was included in our church directory. Next Tuesday she will undergo surgery. Would you please join me in prayer that her surgery will be successful and her recovery uneventful?

If I don't see you this morning, I hope your church is offering gospel music and biblical preaching. Mine is. God's been good in my life, and I am blessed.

Samuel asked Saul this question. His answer reveals a lot. We can repeat it, or we can learn from it.

The last item in Peter's list is one of my favorite words in the Bible. It's the Greek word that the translators used a couple of English words in its place. It's a word that requires study, then application.

I must admit that I wrote this one before this morning. But I didn't want to miss a day, and we're headed out early to David's missed plasmapheresis. Godliness, the sixth item in Peter's list, is not to be missed either. In all honesty, I have yet to reach this step. I know I'm stuck in an earlier one, but I am headed to this one!!

Introduction
... I'm Mom to three, Grammy to seven, Great Grammy to nine -- and called Grammy by many others. When you look at my profile, there are three "Grammy Blick" blogspots. The first one was for sharing personal thoughts while Bible reading, the second was created to share family favorite recipes and the third is for genealogy -- our family history. Feel free to begin a discussion in any one of them! You may write to me at GrammyBlick@gmail.com. I do pray for each of my readers -- that the Lord will open your heart to His word. That His word will bring both comfort and joy, as shared in His word: Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. (2 Corinthians 7:13 KJV) [PS: Wondering about the logo? I don't have (take) a good photo. I created one reflecting our need of bread to live, and added the scriptures confirming our need of Christ to live eternally.]

Meet me at First Baptist Church of Cottondale.  The church is just off the corner of Farm Road 2123 and County Road 3355, at Cottondale, in Wise county, Texas, and we'd love to have you come join us in fellowship.

We bought a Hyundai from James Wood a couple of years ago and now our needs have changed. Curiosity took us to the Hyundai website to look at pricing on a Tucson. The response from James Wood Hyundai was quick, professional without pushing, and we give our thanks to an excellent sales staff. Every question we asked was answered timely and even though what we wanted was not on the lot, it was located and is in the process of being fitted to our needs. We bought and serviced our Accent there and will continue to do so with the new Tucson. They do an excellent job each and every time.

Life savers - my husband experienced three ICU stays in one year, with weekly follow-ups in OPMS in Klabzuba Tower. Care given by staff members is way above good, headed to excellent. Thanks THR Harris!

First Baptist Church of Cottondale is located in Wise County. The Google map has been updated and now shows the correct physical location. Often a GPS will send a driver into the city of Paradise.

A very good convenience store way out in the country. Friendly, helpful staff, too. We appreciate their being in business - oh yes, a good grill, too.

We have used Comet Cleaners in Springtown, Texas for more than ten years and have never had to discuss anything more than the amount of starch in collars. They have cleared stains that I was foolish enough put on my favorite clothes, and just smiled at me when I tried to explain how it got there. This is a place to visit, too, so do not be surprised at the friendliness -- it is as good as their customer service. Hope we run into you there!
