For those of you that missed it or didn't catch it in the first place. Here is my post on "Living with PTSD" - posting it again as I've just had to go back to the GP's to get back in with the councillor after it has reared it's ugly head again with anger attached this time.

Up & down Ron. After I last saw you I've been through a massive period of PTSD/Depression and severe pain but now.
Recently fund a fracture in lower spine but determined to be happy and keep going.

Sorry I haven't been to the R Sigs meetings but my Wide works in Leeds and often late so I just haven't been able to get there.

It is always in my mind though (for when the Wife's job finishes) hence the contact on here.

Good to hear from you again.

It's brilliant in summer when all the kids are playing there. After my 1st time there with my son I learnt to take a towel whenever I went up there (take note Shaun ;-) )

General Help  -

Hi,

I work for a client and they now have a verified business
https://plus.google.com/b/103258814629338822634/103258814629338822634/posts
and a non-verified local page
https://plus.google.com/b/100760256117944494561/+Poddlepod/posts

I have read many pages on creating local pages and verifying etc but I cannot seem to fins a way to verify and merge the local page.

Although they look similar and I could just advise the client to use the business page this is not what I want to do as I am aware that it is possible to merge the pages (I just cannot figure out how).

I have also claimed the shortened URL Google/+Poddlepod but what will happen to this if a merger is successful? Will it disappear or will the joint business/local listing use the shortened version.

Any help is appreciated as I have been working at this problem on and off now for 3 days.

Thanks in advance,
John

Ok, thanks. Well Rupert - that explains why I've not been able to find any up to date information on merging the pages.

Thanks again

I'm sponsoring myself so how about you sponsoring me as well. 2.5km swim is the challenge and I know I can do it with some training.

Cheers for sharing this Mate, just looking for videos in preparation for seeing the consultant and your video was really good and inspiring. I am however prepared for the worst case scenario.

Looking at these I have to say the hardest BY FAR was the trailwalker...63.5 mile cross country run within 24 hours. That....Was.....Hard...but well worth it - even if one of the Green Howards nicked my T-shirt off of the washing line in Al Amarah (Iraq)

Thanks to Google I look like an incompetent idiot as it won't honour any of my line-breaks or paragraphs no matter what I try. Hi Everyone, GENERAL --------------- My 4 year old son started Pipers Grove Primary School this year in the reception stage. After reading the OFSTED report I was a little unsure as to what to expect but a neighbour (whose child also attends the School) assured me that the bad OFSTED report was due to the previous Head-mistress and that the new Head-master had made great improvements. Before my son started we were invited up to the School to have a look around and familiarise ourselves and our children to the environment. The new Head-master (Mr Kaufman) seemed really nice and did his best to give us an insight into the process we would all go through. We also met the Teachers who would be in-charge of our children in the coming year and were able to ask any questions that we had in order to quash any fears that we may have had. He has been going there now for a three months and he loves it. He is mentally encouraged and he is pushed in order to obtain the best results out of him. This is a contradiction of the OFSTED report and shows the progress the School has made in the last year. It seems to me that Mr Kaufman has taken all the right steps to improve the School and I am sure that if the progress seen since the last report continue - the next OFSTED report will be a better grade. PARKING --------------- The School has dedicated parking for parents with special needs (eg disabled drivers) directly in front of the School. For the main bulk of the drivers there are two options. Option 1. Driver can do the daily battle with the car parking area used by the many of the parents. This is actually a small access road which backs on to the local houses. Parents that park in here park in front of (and block) the access that these houses need. Parents will park on the narrowest of grass bankings and I find quite a few of these parents to be quite rude and selfish. Option 2. The School itself has kindly negotiated a deal with the Metrodome Leisure centre (a few hundred meters away) that allows a number of parents to park their cars in it's car parks so that they can park in a safe and organised environment. THE PARENTS ----------------------- The parents themselves are generally very kind and approachable people. The social and economic climate of the School is in line with the previous OFSTED report and I see parents smoking in the same car as their children and smoking while walking with their parents on a daily basis. I have myself had to have words with parents who were either smoking or swearing on School grounds. The majority of the parents though are what you would expect from the area. They are polite, sociable, well mannered and thoughtful of others around them.
