A New Journey -- How I Met My (Soon to be) Husband, Part 1
I have been silent on my blog for about 1 1/2 years, but recent life events have made me realize that it is time to break that silence and start writing again. I want to make time to write, to share the many life lessons that God has been teaching me, in or...

"These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;" (Acts 17:6b)
How does the world identify us as believers in Christ? Do they identify us as tolerant Christians, who tolerate sin? Can the world even tell we are Christians by how we walk and talk?
Or do they identify us as people who "turn the world upside down" for Jesus?
Which Christian do you want to be identified as? Which one are you?

"Satan will not mind how we labor in prayer for a few days, weeks, or even months, if he can at last discourage us so that we cease praying, as though it were of no use." --- George Muller
Never stop praying, never stop believing that God hears your prayers, and will answer them!

2 Corinthians 2:15
"For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:"
Are you living in such a way that your life is a sweet fragrance to God? Is it your desire to please God with every action you take, every thought you think, every motive of your heart, every word you speak?
It is our duty to live in such a way that brings glory and honor to God, and pleases Him. If you strive for nothing else in life, you will do well.

Oh how much pain and suffering the Savior endured for us! How often do we take for granted the great sacrifice He made for us?! And why did He do this? Because He LOVES us!
How much are you willing to endure to show your love for Christ? How much are you willing to give up, because you LOVE Jesus? Is there something in your life that you are holding onto, that is taking away your devotion and love for Christ? Will you give it up to show your love for Him?

"O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!"

There is so much wrong going on in the world around us, that I think we forget how much good God does for us. It's almost depressing scrolling through my social media feeds, so much so, I'm almost ready to get rid of all social media.
So for the sake of something positive on social media, comment below, and share something that you are thankful for today, some special blessing the Lord has given you. Let's remember His faithfulness and goodness to us!

Psalm 136:1-4, 23-24, 26
"O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks unto the God of gods:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks to the Lord of lords:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him who alone doeth great wonders:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
Who remembered us in our low estate:
for his mercy endureth for ever:
And hath redeemed us from our enemies:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks unto the God of heaven:
for his mercy endureth for ever."

My heart was greatly blessed by reading the book of Zechariah this morning! If you have some time today, take time to read it!
Chapter 14 especially served as a ray of hope in this dark time. Here are a few excerpts that gave me hope this morning.
"Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove towards the north, and half of it toward the south.....And the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
And the Lord shall be King over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and His name one.....the LORD of hosts!"
Just remember that in God's perfect timing, He will return as King over all the earth, and all the enemies of His Kingdom will be destroyed, and "He shall reign forever and ever! King of kings, and Lord of lords! Hallelujah!"

Daniel 10:10-12 ---
"And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words."
Look at this great love of Jesus, that in His holiness and righteousness, He stoops down to pick us up, and set us upon our feet when we humble ourselves before Him! This is the heart God wants us to have before Him! When we seek to chasten our hearts before the Lord, Jesus will come to us, and will personally address the cry of our heart. May we all live in such humility!
What wondrous love is this, of which we are so undeserving!
